K079. Jesus shows us a God who loves sinners and judges sinners

But Satan shows us a 'God' who loves us so much (or so radically) that 'He' is no more a God.
Jesus shows us that God would want us to repent and turn from our sins.
But Satan shows us that God would just want to prosper us, serve us, or do like the idols or the 'gods' of this world.

A true and living God is a God who loves and judges
Please think, Which God would you like to choose? Sadly, many so called ignorant churches and pastors are still showing us a 'God' who is 'too good to be true' or who would just want to prosper us, serve us, and do like the 'gods' of this world too. Many could have rejected, ignored, or forgotten all the commandments of the Lord. They lie that all the preachers of God's laws would only want you to be poor when the truth is: the preachers of God's laws would only want you to obey Christ and keep God's commandments:
Mat 4:10 KJV  Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Act 17:29-30 KJV  Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.  (30)  And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
1Jn 5:2 KJV  By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
But today a sinner or a believer does not have to be afraid of the holy God who judges us by the law or by His holy commandments. Why? It is because God's holiness is on our side. His righteousness will fight for us because of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We do not need to downgrade God to a man made 'God' or to a 'God' who can never judge us. We just repent, and therefore, this is the gospel or grace apart from the law.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel to those who will repent
Of course, God's preachers would preach and even plead with every sinner to come to God and believe Him. But if the people will always negotiate and set their condition, "Except you allow us to just believe and full stop, we won't come to God" or "Except He is too good to be true to forgive us all our sins (including all the sins that we are going to commit in the future), He won't be our God. We believe only in the 'true' grace, 'pure' grace, or hyper grace that is preached by the preachers of grace", what will happen?

l will tell them, No, you do not believe in grace; you believe only in yourselves. You believe that you are 'Gods' and that God must show grace to you. But, if you truly believe that you are under the grace of Jesus Christ, you will know that you are under grace to repent and bear fruit (with works of repentance):
Luk 13:2-9 KJV  And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?  (3)  I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.  (4)  Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?  (5)  I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.  (6)  He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.  (7)  Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?  (8)  And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:  (9)  And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.
Hence, being under His grace means you have no other choice but to repent in the Lord.

To repent is not to believe only (or vice versa)
But some 'smart' preachers think that they could give more choices to the people and say that "to repent is to believe, and to believe is to repent". They argue that their intention is noble as it can save more people; however, in the sight of God they are disgusting. It is because they twist His words to make it easy for the people who do not want to repent.
Of course, there is a big difference between 'believe' and 'repent'. There are many Bible verses which explain the difference. It can take pages to discuss and go through all of them again. However, I do not have time to do it now. I will just ask a simple question here: "We know that the Pharisees believed God, but would they repent?" or "The devil believes God too, but will they repent?" No. Isn't this clear enough to show us that they might believe but they might never repent; and therefore, repent is not believe and believe is not repent?
Jas 2:19-20 KJV  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.  (20)  But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
Luk 18:11-12 KJV  The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank (believe) thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.  (12)  I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

To repent is not to change your mind only
I will tell them, If you think that to repent is just to change your mind, you will be disappointed. Yes, your direct definition of 'metanoia' in Greek is 'change your mind'. However, when Jesus preached it, it is certainly not 'change of mind' in the mind of the Pharisees or the self-righteous; it is always the 'change of mind' in the mind of the SINNERS.
Luk 5:31-32 KJV  And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.  (32)  I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Now, please think, What's the difference between the change of mind in a sinner and the change of mind in a righteous person? Don't you think that the main difference is that the sinner needs to change his mind because he is not perfect, he has sins, and he needs to turn away from his sins? If this is the case, repentance from the sinners is always referred as their change of minds to turn from their sins. And this explains clearly why Jesus would only ask the sinners to repent.
