K003. Jesus told us to pray His prayer

Luk 11:1-4 KJV  And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.  (2)  And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.  (3)  Give us day by day our daily bread.  (4)  And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

Jesus did not pray this prayer for Himself because He would not ask His Father to forgive His sins; but He did tell us to pray that Our Father will forgive us our sins - this is a confession of our sins to Our Heavenly Father too. This is also a daily prayer for the believers or those who believe because it is a prayer for daily bread and daily deliverance taught to His disciples only. If we still give thanks for our daily bread and deliverance in our daily prayer, I don't see any reason why we cannot confess our sins in our daily prayer too.

Some preachers argue that "this prayer has become obsolete because this was taught or given by Jesus before He was risen; but we are now like Jesus, and therefore, we are not required to pray or confess our sins any more."
I will ask the preachers, If this prayer is obsolete, did the Lord show you how to pray in another prayer(s)? If there is no other prayer, does it mean that we can only pray your types of 'positive' prayers or 'wise' confessions? If He has no more prayers for us, does it mean that all His past written words (sayings, teaching, sermons, parables, doctrines, and commandments) have become obsolete too, and therefore, we have to listen only to your 'now words' ? No, certainly not.
Mat 4:4 KJV  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

I am afraid that many of us who listened to the 'now words' have unknowingly opened our minds to listening to 'other words' too. May God keep us clean, keep us in sound mind and sound doctrine, and keep us from listening to the wrong words, vain words, or filthy words:
Rev 16:13-15 KJV  And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet  .. (15)  Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
