K019. Jesus is the Word that came in the flesh

Joh 1:1-14 KJV  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God .. (14)  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.*

Interestingly today we have all kinds of definitions for the words of God, including God's commandments. Some preachers claimed that there is no more law or commandment because of the finished work of Jesus Christ or because Jesus came in the flesh. However, they have forgotten that the law or commandment is now in us and with us because The Word has come in the flesh too (Heb 8:10, 10:16).

What is The Word or Who is The Word in Joh 1:1-14 KJV above? He is God. He is not only a person; He is the word, the commandment, the way, the truth, and the life too. According to the definition of Strong's Hebrew and Greek Dictionaries and Thayer's Greek Definitions: 'Word' or 'logos' in Joh 1:1-14 could mean  decree, mandate or order .. doctrine, teaching, testimony ..  etc. Of course, it could also mean  account, fame, preaching, reason, and speech. Today we have heard someone who said that commandments could mean promises. Tomorrow we may hear another one who will say that The Word means account, fame, and story too. However, what will you say?

My advice is: If we still obey and worship Jesus Christ, we'd better think that He is the words or commandments of God; and not just a story, an account, or a reasoning only to suit every man ! That's why He can judge and He will surely judge !
Rev 1:9 KJV  I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Rev 12:17 KJV  And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Rev 19:13-16 KJV  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God ..  (15)  And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  (16)  And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

(According to what this megachurch pastor said in the link below, the 10 Commandments are not to be viewed as " rules we have to keep in order to be Jesus followers; but as promises that they can receive when they accept Christ" ? I am not very sure if that was from a good or bad intention, but I am absolutely certain that God's commandments can be perfectly viewed as ' ruler of truth' in a mad and crazy world with all its own kind of strange views and definitions.)
