Many
of us know this parable very well. I thought I know everything about
this parable too. But I only realize the prophetic implication of this
parable today, because the Lord has shown me very clear explanation
about the tares and the wheat, and also because the 'tares' today has
become more and more 'mature' and outspoken for more and more 'grace'
for rebellious doctrines or doctrinal errors in our churches.
One of
the most common debate or argument I have heard from them (very likely
the false preachers) is this: "We are told by the Lord not to preach any
condemnation (or warnings) to our churches and believers because He
told us that we are all saved and sound, with His promise and the full
assurance that none of us can ever fall."
However, the Lord has
shown me clearly today that He has never said that with this parable:
Mat 13:24-30 KJV Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The
kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his
field: (25) But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat,
and went his way. (26) But when the blade was sprung up, and brought
forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. (27) So the servants of the
householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed
in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? (28) He said unto them,
An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that
we go and gather them up? (29) But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather
up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. (30) Let both grow
together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to
the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in
bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn ... .. (37) He
answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of
man; (38) The field is the world; the good seed are the children of
the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; (39)
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the
world; and the reapers are the angels. (40) As therefore the tares are
gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this
world.
The Lord has shown clearly that there will be 'tares among
the wheat' in the end time. It means that there will be children of the
wicked one among the children of the kingdom. The children of the
wicked one are not just the children of the world; they are the children
of the 'tares' sown by the devil who will masquerade as the children of
the 'wheat' and stay like one of us. In another word, the 'tares' are
not the sinners of the world who are ignorant of God or God's words;
they knew God but they are now used by the devil and they are among the
children of God. The Lord did not say that they are the wicked ones, but
children of the Wicked One. It means that they may not be all wicked.
They do not do wicked things. They could be the 'decent ones' or
ignorant ones who are used by the Wicked One. They may worship like us
or even sing our songs like "I have decided to follow Jesus .." but they
don't really follow Jesus; they follow the Wicked One. Hence, it is so
difficult to identify them that only the angels of the Lord can do the
judging or separation in the last days. But the biggest revelation to me
is not this; it is the Lord's revelation that many churches in the end
time will not be 'pure churches' with all true believers. They will
mixed with some 'false believers'. It will not be practical for any
churches to guarantee 100% of all their believers are saved, given the
present spiritual condition of most of our churches today.
Hence, the Lord's parable about the tares among the wheat
has prophesied, explained, and showed the most probable situation in
our churches today, and it will prove that any promise or assurance
given by the 'tares' themselves that they are '100%' saved together with
the 'wheat' is only a '100%' lie. Don't believe it.
Of course,
there are those preachers who preach it ignorantly without knowing His
words. I hope that they will turn back to the words of the Lord and
abide in His words again. However, I know that there are also those who
know that they are preaching the lie, but they would still continue
doing it because they find it difficult to humble themselves, to repent,
and to submit to the doctrine of Christ.
Many will still argue,
"What's wrong if we tell the believers that they are 100% saved and
forever saved? It will help the believers to feel more assured that they
are all saved." I will tell them, Of course, we know that 'we (ourself)
are saved', but not 'we (the whole church) are saved':
1. If we know
that we (ourself) are saved, all the more we do not need to say it to
remind (ourself) or to brag about it to others.
2. If we know that we
(the whole church) are not 100% saved, why do we still exaggerate it
and lie about it when the Lord did not give such promise to the whole
church (see the explanation of His parable in Mat 13:24-30 and the
warning to His churches in Rev 2 and 3)?
