K014. Jesus told us that there will be false prophets

He did not say that there were false prophets. Neither did He say that false prophets will all disappear in the end time.
Mat 24:11-23 KJV  And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.  (12)  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.  (13)  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.  (14)  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come .. (23) Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.  (24)  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.  (25)  Behold, I have told you before.  (26)  Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

Hence, false prophets will be a great threat to the churches and the believers of Christ, not because they can kill or persecute the believers, but because they can steal the words of Christ (and eternal life) from the believers. Jesus will judge these prophets severely, not because they are ignorant like the people of the world, but because they have tasted His words and used it to draw people to the 'false Christs'. Hence, I don't think we should go around and accuse the monks, the gurus, or the teachers of other religions as the false prophets just because they preach a different God from ours. No, the false prophets that Jesus warned about are those that will come from within, not from outside. In another words, they are gone out into the world from within, from us, or from the churches  !
2Pe 2:1 KJV  But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
1Jn 2:18-19 KJV  Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.  (19)  They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us ..  (4:1) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Act 20:28-31 KJV  Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.  (29)  For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.  (30)  Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.  (31)  Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

Hence, Jesus will judge these false prophets severely because they were His followers. But now they want others to follow them, by preaching and creating a 'false Christ' which will bring glory to themselves. They could have done many things for Jesus in the past. They may still be good preachers, still speak good messages, still do good works, and still be good looking .. However, if they have departed from the Lord or from His words, they are no longer His followers. This explains why Jesus' judgement of them was much harsher than the non-believers or the other religious believers.
Many of them will argue or boast (in that day) that they have the works which show that they are anointed preachers or good preachers; but Jesus will say, I do not know you. Why?  It is because, by their fruits (motives, speech, thoughts, and behaviours), they are no longer His followers, even though they may still continue to do His works or do many things in His name:
Mat 7:15-26 KJV  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.  (16)  Ye shall know them by their fruits .. (20)  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.  (21)  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  (22)  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  (23)  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.  (24)  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock ..

Many will still argue that the warning of Mat 7:15-23 is no longer valid for us with all kinds of reasons .. However, this will only confirm the words of the Lord even more. It is because it shows that the false prophets will try harder to preach away (or steal) the words of the Lord from the hearts of the believers in the end time. Their motives (or fruits) will show clearly that they have to do what they must do because of who they are. Hence, the 'false prophets' will become the 'true prophecy' which must come true in the end time.
I will tell them, It is futile for you to prove that the words of the Lord are obsolete because He said (Mat 7:22), "Many will say to me in that day .."  This shows that it will happen in the future. He also said (Mat 7:23), "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you.." This is a future tense again. Please think, Have the Lord judged or rejected anyone so far. No, His judgement will come only in the last day:
Joh 12:47-48 KJV  And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.  (48)  He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
