K056. Many are called, but few are chosen (3)

This is the third time I talk about this prophecy of the Lord. Many preachers and believers are afraid to preach it, but I rejoice each time I read this prophecy. Why? It is not because I enjoy seeing more and more people rejecting the words of the Lord and perishing, but because I feel more and more awesome seeing the prophecies of the Lord coming true as we get closer and closer to that day (probably in our days when we find many false prophets who will argue and question the Lord?)
Mat 7:22 KJV  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

We have now seen many false prophets trying to prove that the words of Jesus are obsolete, (the reason is obvious) so that they can preach their own words and draw people to hear their vain doctrine. False prophets seem to have a nature, a keen interest, an itching heart, or an unusual craving which tends to twist, change, or nullify the words, commandments, or warnings of God, knowingly or unknowingly. Probably they 'cannot help it'. Hence, they will question if it is just for the Lord to judge them or if it is their fault or other people's fault. But I do not want to go deep into it and judge if it is their fault, others fault, or God's fault. I just want to focus on the words of Jesus here:
Mat 22:9-14 KJV  Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.  ..  (11)  And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:  (12)  And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.  (13)  Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  (14) For many are called, but few are chosen.

Obviously, the 'wedding garment' is a type of criteria for the disciples or the chosen ones. Now please think, Will our friends who invite us to their weddings tell us what to wear? No, unlikely. But, are we expected to wear something more decent or presentable for the occasions ? Of course, there is always an unspoken 'rule' or 'criteria' for all wedding guests to have proper attires. Hence, there is no excuse for not knowing about this if we are to attend the Lord's wedding dinner or His marriage super too, especially when the Lord has already taught us with many of His parables and doctrine. Yes, He would invite all sinners to come freely to His wedding dinner; but He did mention clearly that there are mandatory criteria for those who want to be His disciples too (as He 'turned' and spoke to those who followed Him):
Luk 14:23-27 KJV  And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges .. (25)  And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,  (26)  If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, .. and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.  (27)  And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

Many radical or hyper grace preachers argue that that is a hard saying or judgmental message for the believers. It is because they believe that the gospel of grace should always be a gospel of love and grace which will save everyone who receive the gospel or the call. So, when they find that what they think about the gospel cannot blend with the mandatory criteria, warnings, or commandments of Jesus, they will just conveniently interpret that all the harsh sayings of Jesus are not part of the gospel, but obsolete teaching for the Jews under the law. It sounds very logical to most of the sinners. But I would think that it is a lie and deception. I admit that it is brilliant, and difficult for us to argue with them.

However, I found out that the Lord has already given us the answer. Should we need to argue with any false prophets about the mandatory need of the 'wedding garment' for the marriage super, we can go to the gospel of Matthew and the book of Revelation, and show them the following Bible verses:
Mat 25:1-8 KJV Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.  ..  (8)  And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
Rev 19:1-11 KJV  .. (7)  Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.  (8)  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.  (9)  And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb ..

These words of prophecies refer to the same thing that Jesus had spoken while He was still on earth. They testify of the Lord's warning to the believers and churches that they must come prepared for the Lord's super in accordance with His 'mandatory criteria', commandments, or doctrine. I do not have time to explain fully what are the wedding garment, the cross, the oil, the bride's white linen, .. and etc. I can only briefly say that they are the mandatory criteria for us to be His disciples or churches. But I would never say that they are all effortless and given by grace (without any of our efforts, works, or fruits).
