The Bible has recorded and prophesied:
1. In the past, the people rejected God's words by killing His prophets
Mat 21:33-36
KJV Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which
planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in
it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a
far country: (34) And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent
his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of
it. (35) And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and
killed another, and stoned another. (36) Again, he sent other servants
more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.
2. Then, the people did the same thing by 'killing' The Word (or Jesus) who came in the flesh too:
Mat 21:37-40
KJV But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will
reverence my son. (38) But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said
among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us
seize on his inheritance. (39) And they caught him, and cast him out
of the vineyard, and slew him. (40) When the lord therefore of the
vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?
3. But,
In the end time, they will still reject God's words by killing and
persecuting those who keep and testify for the words and commandments of
God:
Rev 11:3-11 KJV And I will give power unto my two witnesses,
and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days,
clothed in sackcloth. (4) These are the two olive trees, and the two
candlesticks standing before the God of the earth .. (7) And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
(8) And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city,
which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was
crucified .. (10) And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over
them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because
these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. (11) And
after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into
them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them
which saw them.
Rev 12:17 KJV And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Rev 14:12 KJV Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
I
used to think that the two olive trees were Moses and Elijah (or other
prophets) who represent the law and the prophets and that both will come
in the end time again and will be killed by the godless people. I would
not rule out this possibility, but I have just realized that I could
have missed the real picture hidden in the words of God: The two olive
trees were part of the picture of the Lord's transfiguration when Moses
and Elijah appeared with great glory. Hence, we could have seen the
complete picture of the triune Word who came in the flesh when the three
of them appeared together in the transfiguration of the Lord. We could
have seen 'The Word or the Living Ark in the flesh':
Luk 24:27 KJV And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
1. Jesus is the bread of life, the hidden manna (Rev 2:17) who has the life of God - Joh 6:58
KJV This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your
fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall
live for ever.
2. Moses is a picture of the laws and commandments of God (John 1:17)
3. Elijah is a picture of the anointing power to perform miracles
Mat
17:8-12 KJV And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man,
save Jesus only .. (11) And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias
truly shall first come, and restore all things ..
The Bible said that
Moses and Elias (Elijah) just disappeared and no one knew where did
they go? Were they still around after the transfiguration? Many think
that both Moses and Elijah were taken up by God when 'they saw no man,
save Jesus only ..' But I think that they were still with/in the Lord
or became one with Him as The Word. They were taken up together with the
Lord only after they 'died' with the Lord as prophesied in Rev 11:3-11.
Mat 22:37-40
KJV Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God .. (38) This
is the first .. (39) And the second is .. (40) On these two
commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Did Jesus say it with a prophetic implication when He knew that He would die on the cross ?
Hence,
after the transfiguration, Jesus (the bread and manna of God), Moses
(the law and commandments of God), and Elijah (the prophets and the rod
of God) become one in the spirit. In the spirit realm, The Word has come
'in glory' in the flesh but not all the disciples could see it
'clearly', even Peter! But it was revealed to them probably much later:
Joh 1:14 KJV And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
I
still cannot tell if Moses and Elijah came as a man, as a spirit, or as
a Spirit of God in the form of Moses and Elijah; but I can tell
something significant had happened in the spirit realm. It doesn't
matter if we still cannot understand it. But it matters if we preach the
Word of God without the spirit of His laws and commandments. Only the
Lawless One and the false prophets will try very hard to remove the law
of God from the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Hence, The Word (they)
came in the flesh and prophesied for a thousand two hundred and
threescore days, clothed in sackcloth (Rev 11:3) '
1. They preached 1260 days (about 3 1/2 years). Please think, Who preached 3 1/2 years too?
2. They preached with sackcloth. What is the picture of sackcloth? It could be the picture of repentance.
3. Who was killed by the ungodly or the lawless too?
4. Who was resurrected on the third day (or after 3 1/2 day)?
5. Who was taken up into the heaven in a cloud?
Do you know that Jesus was taken up in a cloud too?
Rev 11:12 KJV And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
Hence,
something happened in both the physical and spirit realms when Jesus
died on the cross. But many preachers (or false prophets) in the last
days will knowingly or unknowingly split The Word and preach only the
part they love the most and reject the law or the prophets of God.
That's because spiritually the false prophets love to preach a lawless
Christ who has no law for them. They would worship a different Jesus (or
the Lawless One) who will come in the last days as prophesied by the
words of God.
2Th 2:5-10 LITV Do you not remember that I told you
these things, I yet being with you? (6) And now you know the thing
holding back, for him to be revealed in his time. (7) For the mystery
of lawlessness already is working, only he is holding back now, until it
comes out of the midst. (8) And then "the Lawless One" will be revealed, "whom" "the Lord" "will consume" "by the spirit of His mouth," ..
2Jn
1:6-8 LITV And this is love, that we should walk according to His
commandments. This is the commandment, even as you heard from the
beginning, that you should walk in it. (7) Because many deceivers went out into the world, those not confessing Jesus Christ to have come in the flesh,
this is the deceiver and the antichrist. (8) Watch yourselves, that
we may not lose the things we worked out, but that we may receive a full
reward.
Rev 13:11 LITV And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. And it had two horns like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon.
Hence,
from the Antichrist or the Lawless One will come the beast who will be
most 'liked' or loved by the people of the world. We now begin to know
that he is not likely to be a political leader, a mad dictator, a
tyrant, a monk, or a terrorist .. Just ask yourselves, who is the most
'liked' person by the world today, and who could also look like a
'sheep' or a 'lamb', but he would speak for the 'dragon'?
Of course,
he is not your lawyer, your president, or your doctor (although the
'lawyer' or 'doctor' has the number of six in the title of their names);
but he could be a .. ?
Rev 13:18
LITV Here is wisdom: Let the one having reason count the number of the
beast, for it is the number of a man and its number is six hundred and
sixty six.
