This is the third time I talk about The Word who came in the flesh. It is a great mystery.
1Ti 3:16  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
I
do not know how to explain this. But the mystery of godliness is a
mystery of The Word which the mystery of lawlessness cannot tolerate:
2Th
2:5-10 LITV  Do you not remember that I told you these things, I yet
being with you?  (6)  And now you know the thing holding back, for him
to be revealed in his time.  (7)  For the mystery of lawlessness
already is working, only he is holding back now, until it comes out of
the midst.  (8)  And then "the Lawless One" will be revealed, "whom"
"the Lord" "will consume" .. (9)  His coming is according to the working
of Satan in all power and miraculous signs and lying wonders ..
Is it possible for the evil to 'come in the flesh' to oppose the godliness in the flesh? The Bible has given us the answer:
Joh 1:14 KJV  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
2Jn
1:6-9 KJV  And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This
is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should
walk in it.  (7)  For many deceivers are entered into the world, who
confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a
deceiver and an antichrist.  (8)  Look to yourselves, that we lose not
those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
(9)  Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ,
hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both
the Father and the Son.
Many antiChrists and false prophets will
rise in the end time, but one of them is very likely 'the evil that will
come in the flesh' - the Lawless One or the Beast spoken by Paul and
John. He will come in the flesh and (then) in the spirit to oppose the
words and the works of God. Many theologians think that the Lawless one
is a wicked man or a murderer with the thirst of killing and greediness
for his own pleasure. However, please think, How many wicked men or
murderers have died since the existence of men? Probably millions? But
Paul and John would not be bothered if another millions of wicked men
will come into the world. Of course, Paul and John was very concerned
only about the 'one' who has the power to corrupt the teaching and
doctrine of Christ from the church pulpits. Many still think that Hitler
or king Nero was the beast because they were more wicked than all the
millions of wicked men in the past. But I don't think they were a threat
to the churches and the doctrine of Christ at all. The real threat
comes from the Lawless one or the Beast who will speak or blaspheme with
his 'flood water' (false doctrine) as spoken by John:
Rev 12:15-17 KJV  And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood
after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the
flood.  (16)  And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her
mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his
mouth.  (17)  And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make
war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God,
and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Many interpreted the
above as the account of Jesus and his mother Mary fleeing from king
Herod's persecution. However, I would think that this is the picture of
how the churches would be 'attacked' by false doctrine, and later
deceived by the Beast in the next chapter, Rev 13. Before the flood (in
Rev 11), we have seen how the two olive trees were killed and
resurrected (see my previous post in K058 and K073). I believe that it
has great significance in the birth of the Church; because after the two
olive trees were resurrected (together with Christ), the temple in
heaven was opened, the ark was restored, and seven thousand 'men' in the
 spirit realm were slain:
Rev 11:13-19 KJV  And the same hour was
there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in
the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were
affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.  (14)  The second woe
is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.  (15)  And the
seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying,
The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of
his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. .. (19)  And the temple of God was opened in heaven,
and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there
were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and
great hail.
We know that the above would lead to the birth of the Church because immediately after that John wrote:
Rev
12:1-4 KJV  And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman
clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a
crown of twelve stars:  (2)  And she being with child cried, travailing
in birth, and pained to be delivered.  (3)  And there appeared another
wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and
ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.  (4)  And his tail drew the
third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and
the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for
to devour her child as soon as it was born.
There were two
wonders in heaven: the wonder of the great birth of the Church and the
wonder of the great dragon who had fought and  brought down one third of
God's angels. The greatest wonder is: Now the dragon will have to fight
with the Church or the child on earth. Being angry, he tried to go
against the mother who bore the child. Who is the mother? Of course, she
is not Mary; I believe that the mother here is the picture of the Holy
Spirit because we know that the Church is also born of the Water (the
Word) and the Spirit through the blood of Jesus Christ. Hence, having
failed to fight against the Holy Spirit, the dragon will turn against
the Church and against those who are on earth:
Rev 12:17 KJV  And the
dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant
of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony
of Jesus Christ.
In Rev 12, we have probably seen the happenings
in the spirit realm; but in the next chapter Rev 13, we are about to see
how the dragon and the beast will influence us or persecute us in the
physical realm:
Rev 13:1-18 KJV And I stood upon the sand of the sea,
and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten
horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of
blasphemy.. .. (11) And I beheld another beast coming up out of the
earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.. ..
(16) And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and
bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
(17)  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or
the name of the beast, or the number of his name.  (18)  Here is wisdom.
Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it
is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and
six.
Who is the beast?
Is he a bird, a plane, or a
superman? Or a man, a spirit, an organization, or a kingdom? It is an
interesting question which we should not be afraid to explore and
research. Only the beast and his false prophets are afraid that the
believers will become too 'smart', judge his doctrine, and expose their
deception; but God's preachers will always speak boldly without fear.
