K042. Jesus teaches doctrine; but grace, He gives

Mar 4:2-3 KJV  And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,  (3)  Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow ..
Joh 7:15-16 KJV  And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?  (16)  Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me ..

I don't think we can deny that Jesus teaches doctrine and gives grace, after reading from the Bible passage above. However, many preachers today try to do the reverse: they teach grace and give doctrine. But grace is not a doctrine; grace is a gift.
Hence, Jesus does not teach grace (like it is a doctrine); He gives grace. He would teach good doctrine or solid doctrine.
But many still argue, "Grace is not a doctrine, a thing, or a gift; grace is Jesus Christ. Grace is a person. Grace is God. Hence, if we teach grace, we teach Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ will teach us. Hence, grace can teach better than any doctrine based on Tit 2:11-12."

I will tell them, We do not teach the people to know Him or to know that He can teach us. We have already known Him and His doctrine. Why can't we just teach His doctrine without 'beating around the bush'?
Heb 8:10-12 KJV  For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:  (11)  And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.  (12)  For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

What is good doctrine or solid doctrine?
Good doctrine is not doctrine which tells the people to do something good only. Good doctrine is doctrine which tells the people to do and teach it. It will train others and multiply the good doctrine itself.  Of course, there are many way to define what is a good doctrine, but we know that we ought to teach good doctrine if we are the believers of Jesus Christ. How do we know that?
Heb 5:12-14 KJV  For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.  (13)  For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.  (14)  But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
(6:1) Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; .. (3)  And this will we do, if God permit.

Hence, Jesus teaches good doctrine and gives grace because He always teaches us not only to teach; but also to discern:
Mat 7:15-23 KJV  Beware of false prophets, ..  (16)  Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?  (17)  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit... Mat 28:19-20 KJV  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  (20)  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

By contrast, a bad doctrine or false doctrine will do the reverse: it teaches something which cannot be taught and do something without being properly taught. They teach grace which should not be taught (it is a gift of God) and give the doctrine when they don't even believe in doing it. They teach vain doctrine only to confuse the people. In the end, they do not only make everyone misunderstand each other; but also confuse themselves and think that all others who correct their doctrine are jealous condemnation preachers.
