K054. What is the greatest sin in the eyes of Jesus?

Many argue that all sins are equal in the eyes of God. They said, "Did Jesus say, Ye snakes who are the murderers, the rapers, and the deceivers .. Woe to you .. .. ? No, instead, the Lord was very compassionate to them. He always spoke to them with the smiles and He always healed them. He was the friend of all sinners; but not the Pharisees or those who keep the law. Hence, if God is so gracious to forgive all the sins of the liars, murderers, rapers, deceivers, and idolaters, there is no sin which God cannot forgive."
I will tell them, Yes and no. Yes, God can forgive your sins if you repent. No, there are sins which cannot be forgiven because generally the people who commit such sins would never repent.

1.) They are the false prophets in the churches who know God's salvation and the doctrine of Christ:
Heb 6:4-7 LITV  For it is impossible for those once having been enlightened, and having tasted of the heavenly gift, and becoming sharers of the Holy Spirit,  (5)  and tasting the good Word of God, and the works of power of a coming age,  (6)  and having fallen away, it is impossible for them again to renew to repentance, crucifying again for themselves the Son of God, and putting Him to open shame..

2.) They are the false prophets in the churches who capitalize on the grace of God:
Heb 10:26-29 LITV  For if we are willfully sinning after receiving the full knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice concerning sins,  (27)  but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and "zealous fire being about to consume the adversaries." Isa. 26:11  (28)  If anyone did not regard the Law of Moses, that one dies without pities on "the word of two or three witnesses," Deut. 17:6  (29)  how much worse punishment do you think will be thought worthy to receive, the one trampling the Son of God, and having counted common the blood of the covenant in which he was sanctified, and having insulted the Spirit of Grace?

3.) They are the false prophets, antiChrists, or deceivers who teach the believers not to walk in God's commandments and who reject The Word who came in the flesh. The Word is the triune Word of God symbolized by the three items in the ark of Covenant: manna (life), tablets (commandments), and rod (authority and power). When Jesus died, two angels sitting at both sides of His body showed that He was The Word who came in the flesh (Jn 20:12). Hence, when the false prophets reject God's laws and commandments, they reject The Word who came in the flesh too.
2Jn 1:6-9 LITV  And this is love, that we should walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, even as you heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.  (7)  Because many deceivers went out into the world, those not confessing Jesus Christ to have come in the flesh, this is the deceiver and the antichrist.  (8)  Watch yourselves, that we may not lose the things we worked out, but that we may receive a full reward.  (9)  Everyone transgressing and not abiding in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. The one abiding in the doctrine of Christ, this one has the Father and the Son.

4.) They are the false prophets who preach and multiply lawlessness by not doing any will or command of the Father:
Mat 7:15-23 LITV  But beware of the false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inside they are plundering wolves.  (16)  From their fruits you shall know them .. (21)  Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of Heaven, but the ones who do the will of My Father in Heaven.  (22)  Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many works of power?  (23)  And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; "depart from Me, those working lawlessness!" Psa. 6:8

5.) They are the false prophets in the churches who create evasive works (like the hot and cold lukewarm churches)
Rev 3:15-17 LITV  I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold, or hot.  (16)  So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to vomit you out of My mouth.  (17)  Because you say, I am rich, and I am made rich, and I have need of nothing, and do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.

I think, Of all the five categories of the fallen believers and their sins, the last category is the worst. Please imagine, What will you think if a false prophet accused you of teaching 'do good get good' principle as law teaching, but later he boasted to everyone that his 'doctrine of doing good' was a fruit and was a better doctrine than yours?
What if he said, "Repentance was an old traditional teaching which is obsolete under the new covenant", but later he boasted that his 'repentance' or 'change of mind' is more effective and genuine than yours?
What if he complain that many churches always teach self-effort and good works instead of the name of Jesus and His effortless grace, but later argue every Sunday that he can do more good work and miracles than others?
Probably you may argue that there are no such false prophets or wicked prophets around. However, what if I can show you that there are such people around, do you think that they should still be given more grace ? Probably your answer is still yes, but please think deeper again, What if these false prophets have deceived you or your loved ones and cause you to lose everything including your lives and your children? and you would still endure these?
2Co 11:3-4 LITV  But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent deceived Eve in his craftiness, so your thoughts should be corrupted from the purity which is due to Christ.  (4)  For if, indeed, the one coming proclaims another Jesus, whom we have not proclaimed, or if you receive another spirit which you have not received, or another gospel which you never accepted, you might well endure these.

Hence, generally we can conclude that the false prophets are the people who could have committed the worst type of sins or the greatest sin. Can we define it as what type of sins? Yes, generally it is the sin of rebellion or disobedience; not moral sins or criminal sins. Hence, it could be the same type of sin committed Adam, Cain, and the Devil. They did not kill or did any harm to others but God rejected them. Many argue that Cain was rejected only after he killed Abel. But the Bible showed us that Cain was rejected before he killed Abel. Why? 1Jn 3:12 KJV  Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
Was Cain of the wicked one only after he killed Abel? No, he was of the 'Wicked One' probably after he became disobedient in the way of sacrifice or his own sacrifice. Hence, Cain is the picture of the tares or the children of the 'Wicked One'. Like King Saul who disobeyed God, they will disobey, grow, and multiply against the words of God in the end time:
Mat 13:37-38 KJV  He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;  (38)  The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
1Sa 15:22-26 KJV  And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.  (23)  For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.  (24)  And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.  (25)  Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD.  (26)  And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.

There was no forgiveness of sins for King Saul although he repented and asked for it. It was too late. But disobedience against God is not limited only by our action only. That's why Jesus said the following words:
Mat 12:34-37 KJV  O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.  (35)  A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.  (36)  But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.  (37)  For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Hence, the greatest sin may not be those we commit with our flesh or body (physically); it is those we said out with our mouth (verbally or mentally), and it is mostly committed by the 'fallen believers or preachers' who have their motives darkened without the words of God, like Cain, King Saul, or the children of the tares. Of course, we must always speak gracious words, but when God judges our words, He won't condemn us because we lose our mind and say something foolish. No, it is the type of words which is hidden, vain, evasive, lukewarm, wicked, cunning, and calculated to hurt others or to corrupt His seed. His seed is the word of God, or the life (manna), the commandments (tablets), and the authority (rod) of The Word who came in the flesh.
