Joh
6:63 KJV It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth
nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are
life.
Did Jesus refer to only some of His words or all of His words and commandments?
Yes,
today many preachers and believers say that they believe in the power
of His words. But when we talk to them long enough, we realise that they
believe only certain words of Jesus Christ. They believe only His words
of grace or His words of promises; not His words of commands, laws,
doctrine, principles, instructions, convictions, warnings, and rebukes.
In another words, their arguments to choose only the 'grace words' or
certain words that they like shows us that they have no God's laws in
their hearts and minds. They want His bread and miracles; but reject His
doctrine and commandments.
There are believers who 'ate' His bread; but rejected Him
They
may argue vehemently that they are the believers who have high regard
for God's words, but subconsciously, they are the 'word twisters' who
are lawless and rebellious in the sight of God. They may believe and eat
the bread of Christ, but they cannot submit under the law and teaching
of Christ. They may desire Christ, but they behave like the disciples in
John 6:
Joh 6:26-67 KJV .. Jesus answered them and said, Verily,
verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but
because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled .. (47) Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
(48) I am that bread of life. .. (63) It is the spirit that quickeneth;
the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you,
they are spirit, and they are life. (64) But there are some of you
that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that
believed not, and who should betray him .. (66) From that time many of
his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. (67) Then said
Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
There are believers who would argue with the Word
Many
may still argue, "No, we love Jesus. We sing everyday that Jesus is the
bread and the centre of our life. We have never argued with Him. We
would never reject Him. In fact, grace teaches us that, even if we sin,
rebel, and reject Him, He would still love us. He would never reject us
or spue us out of His mouth. We are highly favoured because of grace.
Hence, we are the grace believers who can never fall .. "
I will tell
them, You think that you have never argued with Him because you have
blinded yourselves with lawlessness in your minds. In fact, the moment
you argued, twisted His words, and lied that His words have become
obsolete, you had argued with Him. When you said that there was no more
command, law, doctrine, principle, instruction, conviction, warning, and
rebuke for you and your believers, you had argued against the Word and
the Scripture. Please think, If the Word or the Scripture is written for
us and not for the world, how can we tell our people, our children, and
our churches that the Word (which includes the words of 'bread,
commandments, and power') is not for us?
We do not just believe in the 'grace-based' words or 'law-based' words
Hence,
we would never split the words of God and tell the people that we can
only believe in the 'grace-based' words or 'law-based' words. We believe
all the words of God which are profitable to us:
2Ti 3:13-17 KJV
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and
being deceived. (14) But continue thou in the things which thou hast
learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned
them; (15) And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures,
which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is
in Christ Jesus. (16) All scripture is given by inspiration of
God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness: (17) That the man of God may be perfect,
throughly furnished unto all good works.
Jesus did not tell us to preach only grace
Some
may still argue, "No, we should only believe in the 'grace-based' words
or 'grace-based' doctrine because we preach the 'grace-based' gospel
.."
I will tell them, Yes, the gospel of Jesus Christ is the gospel
of grace; but the gospel of Jesus Christ is not all about grace. It is
also the gospel of love, joy, peace. It is the gospel of the kingdom of
God. It is the gospel of faith, obedience, repentance, cross, power,
judgement .. :
Mar 1:14 KJV Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
Mar
8:34-38 KJV And when he had called the people unto him with his
disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him
deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. (35) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's,
the same shall save it. (36) For what shall it profit a man, if he
shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (37) Or what shall a
man give in exchange for his soul? (38) Whosoever therefore shall be
ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation;
of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory
of his Father with the holy angels.
Rom 1:16-18 KJV For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (17) For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
(18) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in
unrighteousness;
Rom 2:16 KJV In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
Rom
10:15-17 KJV And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is
written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (16) But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? (17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
If we do not preach the Word, we preach another Jesus
2Co
11:3-4 KJV But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve
through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the
simplicity that is in Christ. (4) For if he that cometh preacheth
another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another
spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
However,
many radical grace believers think that Paul's warning of 'another
gospel' is a gospel which is always preached with the law or with many
laws, and hence, they think that they would be safe if they would preach
only grace. I will tell them, Please read Paul's writing again and ask
yourselves, "Would the Pharisees preach their laws as 'another gospel'"?
No. Obviously, Paul was referring to the serpent or his preachers who
preached 'another gospel' with 'another Jesus'. But how did they preach
'another Jesus'? Of course, they would not preach only God's laws; they
would preach a 'Jesus' who said all the things that they liked to hear.
Hence, Paul was not likely giving warning against the Pharisees or the
law preachers only; but any preacher or false prophet who will distort
the words of Jesus. He won't care if you are a law preacher or grace
preacher; if you scheme to preach law or grace radically and remove part
or all of the words of Jesus Christ, you are preaching another gospel.
Find out what God says instead of what we think
Many
hyper grace preachers still argue, "DON'T JUDGE. Don't judge any people
who sins or boasts with the grace of God; judge only the legalistic law
people who always judge, always teach the laws, and always tell you to
do right with the commandments of God. But we are not like the law
preachers, we always speak the goodness of God. We always speak grace,
preach grace, and 'impart' grace to the people; because the more we
speak grace and impart grace to the people, the more we will be edified,
we will be blessed, and we will prosper .. "
I will tell them,
Please go ahead and preach what you think. But please do not forget to
preach what God say. Do you know that it is God's will to 'impart' His
laws to His people too. You may think that God wish to impart only grace into the lives of the believers; but God said clearly
that He will put His laws into the minds of His people. Now you decide,
Which one should we preach more now: the laws of God or the grace of
God? Speaking and walking in the truth and honesty of God or confessing
and thinking with your vain prosperity doctrine? Should we confess what
you say or what God said? Should we preach what you think or what God
wrote?
Heb 8:10 KJV For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord;
I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and
I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
3Jn 1:1-4
KJV The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
(2) Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in
health, even as thy soul prospereth. (3) For I rejoiced greatly, when
the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as
thou walkest in the truth. (4) I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
2Jn
1:5-7 KJV And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new
commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we
love one another. (6) And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment,
That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. (7)
For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that
Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
