To argue or not to argue

The art of argument
I am not against argument if it is bona fide argument or if it is done in a fair and transparent setting without any pretension, hypocrisy, arrogance, coercion, politics, threats, and deception. It is because people will still benefit in the end if they could see different things from different angles more clearly in the process of asking sensible questions and clearing doubts. Of course, no one would welcome a heated argument which will tarnish our reputation or damage our relation with others. But very often, we just want to dismiss whatever arguments against us as negative remarks even though we know that it is not true. However, the irony is, when we are arguing with one another, we would never admit that we are arguing.
Hence, this is the problem when we are too confident about ourselves, for example, when we are too confident of ourselves on our own doctrines eg. radical grace, radical laws, or any other philosophies and beliefs. we tend to become radically argumentative, while thinking that all other people are more argumentative, condemning, cynical, or jealous of us. But we have forgotten, how much we had caused others to argue with us because of our rash words, unsound doctrine, radical preaching, provocative jokes, or radical revolution. We have forgotten that we could be the culprits who had started the whole buzz before others started to respond, disagree, argue, and criticise us.

Can we conclude that all kinds of arguments are negative
However, I would think that it is still not too bad even if the vain argument or revolution is started because of our ignorance or lack of knowledge. If we allow room for feedbacks and questioning, or for more research on the Bible, we can still do wonder with the proper analysis of the words and commandments of God. However, if we just want to win every argument, cut people off, ban others from disagreeing with our covenant teaching (whether it be law teaching or grace teaching), we would not be any better than the Pharisees or the religious Jews who were self-righteous, even though we think that we know grace better and that we are under grace. The sad thing is many preachers today think that they are very spiritual whenever they quote the name of Jesus and confess that they are under grace, but in reality they are more religious than others who are super-religious (or superstitious) on anything which will make them rich. They may tell others that it is sin for others to argue with them; but when they started to argue vehemently, they keep boasting that it is their rights to reject all other's teaching as the legalistic and hypocritical teaching. I don't think this is fair - it is unfair (cunning psychology) on those who are naive and ignorant. Many arrogant and boastful preachers have tried to bend their ways forcefully into the minds of the simple and the religious to influence them (or deceive them)  by using all kinds of unfair mental tactics without giving them the capacity to think or find out the truth themselves. Hence, I believe that, if the false prophets can argue, the Lord and the Apostles can argue too.

Can we boast that we have NEVER argued with anyone ?
They will say, "No, the Lord told us not to argue or judge others. But you have argued and judged too much. Although we always boast in the Lord, we would never argue like you. We would never speak evil against others. We are always gracious people who have always kept our tongues from evil. Yes, we don't believe in teaching people to keep the ten commandments, but we will still teach the people to keep the one commandment in Psalm 34, and we will always sing about it:
  • Psa 34:3-14 KJV  O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.  (4)  I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears .. (7)  The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them ... (11)  Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.  (12)  What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?  (13)  Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.  (14)  Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Therefore, we would only speak the good things. We have never argued or judged anyone although sometimes we did 'comment graciously' (???) that:
  1. most of the law preachers, the conservative, the legalistic, and our critics were hypocrites who taught many rules and regulations,
  2. they could not understand God's grace; but could only preach an angry God with an Old Testament mentality,
  3. they do not believe in the finished work of Christ. They still think like the world and adopt the world system to 'do good get good'. They are adulterers with the world by mixing grace with the system of the world.
  4. they could only judge and point fingers like the Pharisees, and condemn everyone (who could not repent like them), with jealousy and false humility. Yes, we are certainly humbler than most of them because we are under grace, although we have more anointing, we have Jesus speaking to us more often, we have better sex life, we can joke, we can entertain, we can do cat walk on the pulpit, and we can promote ourselves better (click to see this link).
  5. they cannot speak in tongues, have no miracles, no healing, no signs and wonders, no love, no grace, and no God's wisdom to preach a smiling or gracious God,
  6. they taught people to pray too much or fast too often, they discriminated sexy or sexual people who are like us, they had too little hair or bad hairstyle, they wore old fashioned gowns, they were too religious or too traditional to strike any business deal with the world, they rejected the sinners, they do not know how to be a friend of sinners like Jesus
.. and hence they could never preach the gospel more effectively than us. However, we are not like them. We know how to preach, act, and sing like the rock stars or joke like their favourite comedians. Hence, we know how to please them and gain favours. We have never spoken evil against anyone or preach against anyone. We love everyone. We love the sinners and accept them too. We would refrain from giving bad reports, saying bad things, pointing out sins, or condemning anyone who sin. We don't accuse anyone as sinners. We don't preach like the repentance preachers. We keep our tongue from evil. That's why we can prosper .. we found favour with the world but it is actually God's favours or transfer of supernatural wealth from the world to the churches.."
I will tell them, Yes, Jesus was a friend of sinners. However, Jesus loved the sinners and ate with them, so that He could preach and call them to repentance. Are you really like Him ? I will ask them, Are you sure you could comment on all the above 'graciously' when you breathe out those judgemental remarks ? I don't know how you could manage to convince so many people that you are very gracious and that you have never argued or spoken evil against anyone. But, if I have to speak the truth, I would not lie and boast that I have NEVER argued with anybody. Please think, Is it possible for a radical grace preacher or any preacher to claim that he has never argued and would never need to argue with anyone ? No. He is very likely lying. We should tell him to go back and listen to all his preaching again. Very soon he will realise that most of his sermons are full of bitter arguments against God's commandments and preaching of repentance, and against those who preach God's words. Please think, If he had preached against others vehemently with his so-called 'radical grace revolution' with no law, no commandment, no condemnation, no repentance from sins, no good works, and no judgement, how could he preach all these with no argument ? Very likely, he could have been arguing all the while from his pulpit and he did not realise it. He could have enjoyed it too much to realise it. But he could have argued more than any preachers in the past, present, and ..

Of course, I don't mind people listening to any interesting debates or argumentative preaching. We should not be against the preaching of grace too. However, if grace is radically preached until we have the wrong impression that the churches cannot preach: repentance, turning away from sins, obedience to God, keeping God's commandments, taking up our cross, sound doctrine, suffering to uphold God's justice, judging false doctrines, and speaking up against religious deception .., it can never be God's grace or the grace that Jesus preached (Luk 24:45-48). We should speak up for the churches if the sinners have all been misled to think that the churches have walked under the law and preached like the Pharisees just because they have preached more on repentance, turning away from sins, God's commandments, Godly instructions, doing good, servanthood, faithful service to the Lord, suffering for Christ, humility, contentment, discipline, sound doctrine, or the Lord's warnings. Yes, I do not deny that the radical grace preachers can win arguments well without any preaching of repentance or the above, and their gospel may win the hearts of many including the unrepentant sinners. However, their gospel is not the gospel of Christ and their teaching is not sound doctrine from the teaching and the letters of the Apostles.

Hence, I would think that radical grace is a type of new age teaching which would radically and wrongly use Paul's arguments against the Old Jewish covenant, preach against every teaching of the Lord in the Bible, and amuse everybody who would just want to listen to 'only the good things' without checking their Bible.

There are two major types of arguments in the Bible:
  1. The arguments put forth by the Lord and the Apostles, and
  2. The arguments created by the false prophets
I will talk about how the Lord and the Apostles argued first and then we will compare it with how the false prophets will argue
..
..

How did the false prophet argue? When they know that they do not have the truth and they would lose in an argument, they would use lies. I will talk about the examples later
..
..

Do we argue to glorify God or ourselves ?
There are preachers who cannot take it when they know that there are people like me who will argue or disagree with them. They will argue, "So, you think that you can argue very well ? You think that you know the art of argument..and preach like us ? How can you boast and argue like this ? "
I will explain why there is a way and a need to argue later. However, I can now answer them by saying that I did not know how to argue initially. But after hearing them, I suddenly woke up. Yes, in one way or another, they taught me how to argue beyond an argument. Well, thanks and no thanks to them. Honestly when I answered them this way, I was quite hypocritical. To the simple and ignorant, I might look humble to talk about how I could not argue initially; however, I was actually telling the whole world that I could argue very well now. That was hidden pride and I would not be different from them who said that they could only stammer before they knew how to preach with the anointing of the Holy Spirit and like Christ too.
Yes, we could boast and argue like them, but that is not the reason we should do it. We must know what and why we argue. We argue not because we want to boast in the Lord or show how much glory we could show God, but because many false prophets have risen and deceived many:
  • Mat 24:11-12 KJV  And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.  (12)  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
We argue to keep our sanity when many others have decided to give up all their reasoning in the name of radical grace and blind prosperity:
  • Mat 13:21-22 KJV  Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.  (22)  He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
  • Mar 4:18-19 KJV  And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,  (19)  And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
Again the Lord has shown us clearly that we should not just hear His words or hear Him only; but we must not let the cares and the deceitfulness of riches choke (or argue against) His words.

Did Jesus tell us not to judge or argue even if we know their fruits ?
They will say, "Of course, we don't argue. Jesus commanded us not to judge, argue, or discern too much. He wants us to be like sheep who can only "baaing" and follow the shepherds (and we are the sherpherds). But, if we judge, we would become negative and live like the judgemental Pharisees.. If we judge, we would be judged. In fact, Jesus told us to preach radical grace. He said in:
Luk 6:36-37 KJV  Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.  (37)  Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven
That's why we preach radical grace. We preach it so that people will not judge one another... "
When they said this, they have forgotten that they have not only argued; they have even preached revolution to put down all others who disagree with them too.
I will tell them, What kind of preaching is this ? Are you saying that no one can judge the false prophets or false doctrines even if we know that they are false ? Jesus would certainly want us to judge radical grace if we know that radical grace is not from Him too. Anyway, we have not judge anyone yet. We cannot sent anyone to the prison or banish anyone from preaching weird doctrines. We have only informed or reasoned with the words of the Lord why we think that radical grace is not from God. If doing so is condemning or speaking evil against people, the radical grace preachers themselves should stop arguing and condemning those who preach repentance and God's commandments too.
I will tell them, If you think that Jesus has never told us to judge, argue, or discern, you have stuffed your mind with 'straws' and tried to do it on others too. If your mind is still working, please think, If Jesus wants us to 'baaing' like the sheep, why did He tell us to discern and 'judge' the false prophets in Mat 7:15-23:
  • Mat 7:15-23 KJV  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.  (16)  Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? .. (20)  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.  (21)  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  (22)  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  (23)  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
  • Luk 6:46-48 KJV  And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?  (47)  Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:  (48)  He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood (false doctrine) arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. (Hence, Jesus said clearly that He would not just want us to have right believing, right faith, right miracles, right preaching, or right confession only; he wants us to have right doing with His words too, because right doing would prove that we are His true disciples on the rock of salvation.)
  • Mat 24:4-5 KJV  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.  (5)  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

We don't judge them (physically) but we can judge their doctrines
Of course, we don't judge the false prophets by giving them the sentence, putting them into the jails, tie them up, and silent them. We can certainly argue with them and judge their lawless, deceiving, or incredible doctrines by telling others why their doctrines may not bring people to repentance or to God.
However, many preachers today have been deceived by the 'Don't judge, don't argue, don't criticise, don't say negative things against anything, or else you would touch the 'anointed' ones and become cursed'. Well, this kind of threat will work only on the people of the world, the ignorant, and those who never read the Bible; it will not work on us. If we know the words of God, we know that this is an obvious strategy (tares) by the false prophets who want to stuff 'straws' into the minds of the people.
  • Mat 13:37-40 KJV  He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;  (38)  The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;  (39)  The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.  (40)  As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
They will say, "Yes, ok, alright, I admit that I was judgemental against all the traditional churches who preached God's laws and commandments many many years ago. But you must understand, Who would not feel bitter? If you were asked to leave the church and get lost just because you could not preach repentance, God's commandments, or sound doctrine, like what they had preached, won't you feel angry too? Yes, we may have preached a bit differently or radically against those who judged us or condemned us, but we have since improved. We have preached without bitterness any more. I am sure that God would not pick on us and condemn us just because we have not preached the exact doctrine or sound doctrine. I am sure He would not condemn us in the same way He condemned the Pharisees.. He would be more gracious to us because we are under grace .."
I will tell them, The Bible did not say that we must preach exact doctrine to the point of condemning people. Hence, if you are 'a bit' different in your doctrine or in your preaching, we are not interested to argue with you. Probably people may still be saved after listening to you. But, can people be saved if your preaching is radically wrong, or radically filled with radical assumption, radical blindness, radical complacency, radical grace, radical deception, or radical lawlessness ? I doubt so. People may perish, like Adam and Eve, for listening to the wrong instruction or wrong assurance. If this is so, I don't think you can say that we are picking on you or on your doctrines.
  • Gen 2:16-17 KJV  And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:  (17)  But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Gen 3:4-5 KJV  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:  (5)  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Yes, It may sound very good, very noble, or very positive, to the sinners or believers if we would just give the radical instruction not to argue, not to judge, not to condemn, or not to speak against anyone or any doctrine even though we know that they are wrong. But it may 'give licence' to the false prophets to create more deception to the ignorant. Yes, our silence may not 'give licence' to sin; but it will certainly 'give more licence' to false doctrine and deception. Will your own conscience still tell you to keep silent and do nothing ? I leave it to you.
  • Joh 8:9 KJV  And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
In the above case, your conscience should tell you to walk away and do nothing. But, sometime, we must speak out if we have to stand on what we believe:
  • Act 23:1-3 KJV  And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.  (2)  And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth.  (3)  Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law?
  • 2Co 4:1-2 KJV  Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;  (2)  But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
  • 1Ti 1:18-20 KJV  This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;  (19)  Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:  (20)  Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
Hence, I don't think anyone can deny that Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit can convict sins. If Jesus could convict the Pharisees by writing on the ground with His fingers and cause the Pharisees to leave one by one before Him (Joh 8:8-9), He can convict anyone, including the self-righteous believers, gnostic believers, agnostic believers, carnal believers, false believers, lying believers, or any kind of believers who think and argue that they can never sin or do not have any sin too.

Can God's people be God's people if they cannot discern, judge, think, or watch ?
Please think, If the end time generation is a generation of people who cannot discern, cannot judge, cannot argue effectively, cannot think sensibly, and cannot reason with God's words, do you think that there is still hope for the world in the end time? No, they would all be deceived by the false prophets. But thanks be to God, the judgement of God on the tares in Mat 13:37-40 is a gospel to us even though it is a terrible judgement to the false prophets and those who follow them.
Please think again, If Jesus wants us to be dumb like sheep who can never judge, argue, or think, He would not have told us:
  • to beware of the false prophets Mat 7:15
  • to know them by their fruits  Mat 7:16
  • to watch the hour Mat 24:42, watch the thief Mat 24:43, watch against the temptation Mat 26:41
  • to believe it not the 'anointed' ones Mat 24:23, 26
  • to be diligent with the light in our lamp (the words of God) like the wise virgins (churches), diligent with our teaching (of God's values) like the wise stewards (pastors), diligent with our doing (of good deeds) like the sheep (believers) Mat 25
  • to be wise as serpents
  1. Mat 10:16 KJV  Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
  2. Rev 3:2-3 KJV  Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.  (3)  Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
For many years ago, I have been wondering what the Lord meant when He said, Watch ! However, I have better understanding now as I look around and see how God's doctrine, God's laws, and commandments have been distorted. It is time for us to stop wondering; but start thinking, discerning, judging, and arguing ! I am sure the Lord would not want to watch and keep silent, watch and do nothing, or watch and sleep ! No, it is time to watch and wake up, church ! The Lord is coming soon.

What are the reasons for us to argue ?
Many of us do not like to argue, but we have no choice when many false prophets will rise and make us argue with them. For example, they said that, repentance and confession of sin is not for them (1 John 1:9), the Holy Spirit has no power to convict them of any sins in the past, present, and future (Joh 16:8-11), and that preaching of repentance has been replaced by preaching of grace (Luk 24:45-48), can God's preachers just keep quiet if they know that those Bible verses have been distorted. Yes, if we were to keep quiet, the false preachers would be happy and would commend us for speaking only the positive words. But in the eyes of the Lord, we have joined the false prophets speaking only lies and deceits to the people.
Of course, we won't ask people to argue anyhow with anyone on anything. Of course, there are many reasons why we should argue with those who have hidden agenda to change God's words and commandments. However, I began to write on the need to argue or not to argue here was not because I knew all the reasons to argue, but because of one small encounter with a stranger during my lunch time many years ago. We started off with a casual conversation from which I knew that he was a believer from a traditional church. He complained about the rise of false prophets in many churches.
When I asked him, "How do you know that they are false prophets ?", he said, "Oh, it is because they are very rich. They can preach very well. They are wolves who prey on the ignorant believers. They wore wigs, dress in rock star clothings, and act like the movie stars. They always lie. They teach different doctrines. They are hypocrites. They have twisted God's laws and commandments.. They did this and that .."
However, when I asked him, How did you know that he lied or how did you know that they have changed God's words? The believer, who was a stranger to me, stared at me and said impatiently, "Come on, we just know it ! God told us not to believe anyone. God told us to believe Jesus only. But many believers would just believe men.."
I almost wanted to interrupt and tell him, How can you give this kind of reasoning ? Why should we listen to you if you tell us to listen to Jesus only? Of course, we don't just ask the people to hear Jesus only without telling them how to hear. We may keep shouting and screaming that so and so is a false prophet, but no one will hear us because of our bad shouting, bad reasoning, or 'ding dong' argument. Obviously there is a need for us to study the Bible and find out how the Lord or the Apostles argued or reasoned when they met the Pharisees, the religious hypocrites, or the false prophets.

Sometimes, we do not argue to condemn; we may argue to correct
Many so-called 'no condemnation' preachers would say, "We must believe in the 'no condemnation' gospel. Don't let anyone condemn us. We can never be condemned. We are under grace. Let them argue and 'bark' like the dogs. However, we will still shine like the sun, the moon, and the stars everyday. However, we say this with humility. It's because we can never be condemned.. We have never said anything evil against anyone, any Pharisees, or any legalistic preachers.. "
I will tell them, Do you still think that you are very humble when you ignore all the voices that speak to you, including the voice from the words of God ? If someone disagreed with you, argued with you, or said that you were wrong, would you think that they were all condemning, accusing, or judging you ? No. They could be your friends or those who sincerely wanted to correct you. However, you chose to think negatively and teach everyone that those who correct you or disagree with you are condemnation preachers. Do you know the consequence ? Nobody would dare to correct anything or say anything, even if they know that something is wrong with you. You have rejected all the warnings and the teaching of the Lord too. If you preach that there is no more commandment from the Lord, no more need to give any warning, or no more conviction of sins from the Holy Spirit to the people, the world, or the churches, you have not only rejected the words of Christ, you have also rejected the words of the Holy Spirit:
  • Joh 16:7-13 KJV  Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.  (8)  And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:  (9)  Of sin, because they believe not on me;  (10)  Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;  (11)  Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.  (12)  I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.  (13)  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
  • Mar 13:35-37 KJV  Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:  (36)  Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.  (37)  And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
  • Luk 21:32-36 KJV  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.  (33)  Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.  (34)  And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.  (35)  For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.  (36)  Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Many preachers would still argue that the above warnings of Jesus Christ have become obsolete because those words were spoken before His death or before the start of His New Covenant. They said that the generation whom Jesus gave warnings to or talked to had passed away. Hence, they will only need to take heed to Paul's grace preaching or the gospel that Paul preached; not the gospel that Jesus preached.
However, their reasoning would contradict the words of Jesus Christ. The Lord said, "Luk 21:32-36 KJV  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.  (33)  Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away."
Please think, Has all things been fulfilled ? No. Has that generation passed away ? No. It is because that generation is our generation. It is this generation, the end time generation, or probably our last human generation. Hence, as long as this generation has not passed away yet, all His warnings and parables would still be applicable to us in this worldEven if heaven and earth or all have passed away, His words will never pass away. Hence, how can we teach people that His words or His teaching were from the Old Testament ? Please read the following Bible verses again. How can anyone say that His words were from the Old Testament. If the teaching of Christ was from the Old Testament or similar to the teaching of the scribes, Jesus would never be the Christ.

  • Mat 5:1-39 KJV  And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:  (2)  And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,  (3)  Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  (4)  Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted .... (27) Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:  (28)  But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.  ... (38) Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:  (39)  But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Mat 6:31-33 KJV  Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?  (32)  (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.  (33)  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Mat 7:15-24 KJV  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. ..
Luk 6:46-48 KJV  And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Mat 7:28-29 KJV  And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:  (29)  For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

Do those who argue always think that they are right ?
They will tell us, "We don't care how you can convince us that you can argue. We don't like to argue with anyone or speak evil against anyone. We believe in grace and in speaking grace. If you argue, you are saying that you are right and we are wrong. This is pride. But since we believe in grace, we believe in humility and we will not argue with others or talked about their sins, adulteries, or false doctrines. We will just preach the goodnews and the goodness of God. We will preach Jesus. We will preach grace. We will always speak positively about those who preach the gospel whether they preach it correctly or incorrectly. We .. "
I will tell them, If you have spoken positively, please continue to do so, and by the way, please speak more positively in your 'radical revolution' too. Please don't shout too much. Please speak graciously on those who preach the laws too. However, if you can't, please do not speak the lies above hypocritically.
You said that those who argue are speaking negatively and that they are thinking that they are always right. I do not deny that I would argue with anyone who preach lies, deceptions, or false promises. However, if we would become people who speak negative things just because we have argued, will you accuse the Lord and Paul who argued with the Pharisees too ? If you think that I think that I am always right just because I argue, please correct me too. Please check all my words, have I ever said that I am right ? No, I don't think that I am always right but I would argue it out. That's why I would not tell people that God always speak to me and use that authority to close and shut all my conversations with others so that they could never question me or dispute with me. Do you notice that I have never closed the comment box for people to write to me too ?
I am waiting (in fact I am longing) for people or preachers with a genuine heart for God's words and doctrine to correct me too, but of course, I will not just let all kinds of crap to correct me without a fair bit of exchange of words, ideas, questions, and arguments with those who agree or disagree with me.  Of course, I will not listen to those who tell me that they are so anointed that God would speak to them through their donkeys, their magical stones, their inner 'Urim and Thummim', their inner still voice, their Hebrew Bible codes, their musical notes, their pianos, their TVs, their dreams, their visions, or their edited videos. Sorry to say this beforehand: I would never believe all of them because I would point out that either their poor acting skill, oratorical skill, video editing skill, or 'inner circle' skill, could have betrayed them.
Hence, if anyone thinks that I think that I am always right without me saying that I am right, I will tell them, You think that I am right because you are convicted to think that I am right; otherwise, please prove me otherwise. Anyway, it is ok if you do not understand what I mean: I am just trying to show you that the preachers who always tell us that God speak to them in their well-designed 'one-way communication' are very likely the ones who would always think that they are right, not those who would make room for unprohibited discussions, feedbacks, questions, and answers from the wide majority of the audience.
