If the gospel is misunderstood, it is misleading ..

If the gospel is misunderstood, it is misleading ..
If it is misleading, it is unlikely to save. Hence, I don't think Paul could tolerate a gospel that is misleading and be the one who preached it .. (I like this article from CT - "Heresy Is Heresy, Not the Litmus Test of Gospel Preaching")
  • Rom 6:1-2 KJV  What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?  (2)  God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Many quoted the Bible verses above and said that Paul encouraged us to preach the gospel to the extend that everyone should misunderstand or accuse us as antinomian; otherwise, we have not preached grace. I will tell them to read Paul's words again.
No, God forbid, Paul said, we shall not say it, do it, or preach it in any way which may encourage the people to misunderstand us and mislead them. In another words, Paul would never allow anyone to preach the gospel rashly or radically until the gospel is misunderstood and everyone is misled. If we are not convinced that Paul was serious about it, just do a search on all Paul's letters and find out how many times he stressed on the teaching of sound doctrine and God's principles.

However, many radical grace preachers today still keep taunting us that, if we do not preach grace like them or preach grace revolution until everyone misunderstood us, we have not preached grace ?
I understand them. Most of them still want to test how far they can use the antinomian idea to attract and catch the attention of the world so that the sinners or the lawless communities can turn to the grace of God 'effortlessly' (or 'lawlessly'), and hopefully, having misunderstood them, the people will later understand that they must still turn from their lawlessness and sins too. However, indirectly and unknowingly, the radical grace preachers have also promoted the antinomian arguments to glory in antinomianism or in the theological belief of enjoying life better without any law of God. Unknowingly, they created the 'pure grace' theology which is clearly a fictitious excuse for sins, lawlessness, and lawless philosophies too.

They will argue, "Shall we sin that grace may abound? No, never. God forbid. But, like Paul, we have been greatly persecuted and falsely accused."  I will ask them, How can you say that that is your persecution when it is compared with Paul's? Paul would say, "Boys, that's not persecution. Let's get on with lives and be strong, instead of crying, complaining, and thinking that everyone is falsely accusing us just because they do not agree with us. It's nothing, but wait until you see the real persecution that I faced:
  • 2Co 11:23-31 KJV  Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.  (24)  Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.  (25)  Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;  (26)  In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;  (27)  In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.  (28)  Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.  (29)  Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?  (30)  If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.  (31)  The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.
However, Paul was truly persecuted as God's preacher not because he preached radical grace; but because he always preached repentance and he preached it strongly against sins.
  • Act 26:19-21 KJV  Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:  (20)  But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.  (21)  For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.
In fact, Paul preached strongly against the corruption of laws and grace in the the house of God too. That is far from radical grace. Paul had taught and warned the believers to shun from any preaching of grace which is misleading, confusing, and perverting:
  • Heb 10:26-31 KJV  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,  (27)  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.  (28)  He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:  (29)  Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?  (30)  For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.  (31)  It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
