Who will benefit from the preaching of false doctrine?

Do we still need to preach against false doctrine?
Many preachers today argue confidently that the churches have no need to worry about the preaching of false doctrine because none of us in the churches can preach it. They think that false doctrine is preached by Satan or only those who are outside the churches. However, this is not true. No, false doctrine is not necessarily preached by those who are outside the churches; it can be preached by the preachers within the churches. It is not only preached to the sinners; it can be preached to the believers and the churches too. Now, when we give such warning, are we lying or trying to condemn the churches or the preachers? No, warning against false doctrine and false preachers is a valid and constant warning which we can find throughout the Bible, especially the New Testament. Hence, I would question those who always argue vehemently and preach against the need of God's warnings, Do you know your Bible? The question is not whether Christians have done and taught too much law; the question is: Are we aware of false doctrine and the type of doctrine which can put us back into lawlessness, sin, or darkness without Christ? What will make us lose our 'garment' again after we have become the sons of God in Christ? False doctrine. Hence, we are not afraid of the false prophets even if they can bite like wolves, but we are afraid of their doctrine which can do great harm to the believers and the churches:
  • Act 20:27-32 KJV  For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.  (28)  Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.  (29)  For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.  (30)  Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.  (31)  Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.  (32)  And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
  • 2Co 11:2-4 KJV  For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.  (3)  But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.  (4)  For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
  • 1Jn 2:18-20 KJV  Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.  (19)  They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.  (20)  But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
  • Mat 22:12-14 KJV  And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.  (13)  Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  (14)  For many are called, but few are chosen.
Hence, we know that false doctrine does not come from other religious leaders, it comes from us within. It comes from our believers, our preachers, or God's servants who have fallen or lost their 'garments'. How can we tell the churches or the believers not to worry about any preacher who preaches anything to us? In the end time, many are called to repentance and to the great wedding banquet, but few are aware that they have the garments for the wedding. Many believers and preachers have fallen or lost their garments, not because they have fallen into sins, committed adulteries, or stolen from people, but because they allowed the serpent to corrupt (and change) their minds to preach another gospel or 'another Jesus' who would never call any sinners to repentance. It could be 'another Jesus' who would tell the people to think no more of God's laws, except his own 'law' (2Co 11:2-4). If we listen to 'him' again, we will fall like Adam who lost his garment of glory. As Adam departed from God's command and lost his garment, so will the believers who listen to 'another Jesus' and depart from God's commandments too.

Who will benefit from the preaching of false doctrine?
Hence, I would think that those who preach against God's warnings are highly questionable.
  • 1Th 5:1-8 KJV  But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.  (2)  For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.  (3)  For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.  (4)  But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.  (5)  Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.  (6)  Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.  (7)  For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.  (8)  But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
In fact, Paul had given us the double call to be sober. Why was it a double call? It is because it is a very important warning for us. Hence, how can we tell people to ignore all the Lord's warnings and go back to sleep? Obviously, Paul knew that there would be false prophets who will argue against God's warnings and commandments in the end time.
One of the reasons why many preachers today would argue against God's warnings and commandments is because they may think of 'the benefits' knowingly or unknowingly based on their understanding of the 'law of demand and supply' in the world. In the economy of goods in our world, the law of demand and supply tells us that anything will become valuable whenever there is a great demand for it. Hence, unscrupulous businessmen or bankers who know the law well would know how to prosper themselves. They will do anything (including doing illegal transactions) to raise the demand, take advantage of it, and take control of the market. However, most people who take the honest path and live by the principle may not prosper like the unscrupulous businessmen or bankers. However, I believe that the honest people would feel happy to live the simple and honest life. They would still choose to stay 'poorer' even if they are given the choice to prosper like the unscrupulous people.
If there are unscrupulous people in our economic and materialistic world, will there be unscrupulous religious people in our churches too? Of course, you bet. Many of us may think that Satan is the only unscrupulous party who know the law well and can prosper. However, we are wrong. Satan will just want to influence more people to think like him. The more people will follow him and think like him, the more he can raise the demand of the people for anything, take advantage of it, and take control of the minds of the people. Ultimately Satan may not benefit from the preaching of false doctrine; he will 'benefit' from the number of souls who follow him. Hence, false doctrine is just a 'product' or a 'key' which Satan created to gain access into the churches, to benefit his preachers, and to lure more people to follow him.
Hence, we can say that false doctrine does not prosper Satan, but it does prosper those who follow Satan. We can now go back to the question: "Who will benefit from the preaching of false doctrine?" and answer it.
Yes, False prophets will benefit from the preaching of false doctrine because of the law of supply and demand. It is the law of our world ! They know that it is easy to prosper and preach according to the law of our world. Hence, if they know that the people do not like God's warnings, they will preach that God's warnings are not for them. If they know that the people do not like to keep God's commandments, they will just preach that there is no more law for them .. and etc.
But God would not want His people to prosper or preach according to the law of supply and demand or the law of economy in the world. God wants us to live according to His law based on the Spirit of the law of Christ, which is of a higher law (Rom 8:2). It is a law which the Pharisees, Old Testament Jews, sinners, and false prophets can never comprehend:
New Testament blessings
Mat 5:1-12 KJV  And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:  (2)  And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
(3)  Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
(4)  Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
(5)  Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
(6)  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
(7)  Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
(8)  Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
(9)  Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
(10)  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
(11)  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.  (12)  Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

The doctrine of Christ is not based on the blessings of this world
Many preachers today argued that the teaching of Jesus has become obsolete. They said, "How can we be blessed if we are poor in spirit, soul, and body. Surely, Jesus did not mean it when He told the disciples to be poor. We are no longer poor. We prosper. Do you know that John has changed it and said that we prosper in spirit? It's because Jesus has died and we should now prosper.."
  • 3Jn 1:2-4 KJV  Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.  (3)  For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.  (4)  I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
I will tell them, Please read the Bible verses again. I do not deny that prosperity or material wealth is good. Yes, we can prosper, we can benefit, we can be blessed, we can become millionaires or billionaires; but we don't boast or preach about all these to draw people to Christ. If you think that God's blessing, prosperity, and benefits to the believers must be in monetary values or tangible forms, you are still thinking and living in the flesh, like the Jews and the Pharisees who lived under the law and flesh. They could never comprehend the sermon on the mount because it defied all their laws of blessings which were limited to the blessing of this world. They could have been taught by the Pharisees to look for the material blessings and prosperity of Abraham  according to the law in Deutronolomy 28:
Old Testament blessings
Deu 28:2-8 KJV  And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
(3)  Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
(4)  Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
(5)  Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
(6)  Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.  (7)  The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.  (8)  The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

The doctrine of Christ can never be understood by those who are still living under the flesh
Of course, it was easy for the Pharisees to tell the people to be blessed based on their laws. But Jesus would not want the people to be blessed based on the law that was created for the flesh. Jesus wants us to be blessed based on a higher law that is created under the Spirit. Naturally, it is not measured based on the prosperity, blessing, and benefit that is gained from this world; but based on His words and teaching:
  • Rom 7:25 KJV  I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
  • Rom 8:1-4 KJV  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  (2)  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.  (3)  For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:  (4)  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
  • Joh 6:59-66 KJV These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. (60) Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?  (61)  When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?  (62)  What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?  (63)  It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.  (64)  But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.  (65)  And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.  (66)  From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
Yes, we do not deny that we can prosper and become rich in material things, but we would never preach or focus on the things of this world. We would never use the objects or the things of this world to preach benefits, prosperity, and blessing from God.
  • Mat 6:31-33 KJV  Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?  (32)  (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.  (33)  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
We have repented and changed our minds to think of the words and teaching of Jesus Christ, including all the things that he had taught us in His sermon on the mount:
  • Mat 28:17-20 KJV  And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.  (18)  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.  (19)  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  (20)  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The teaching of Christ cuts through the Bible and our hearts, like a sword
It cuts and divides the Bible into the Old Testament and New Testament. It will also cut our hearts so that everything in us will be exposed one day:
  • Rev 2:16 KJV  Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
  • Heb 4:12 KJV  For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
I will ask them, Do you know why we can never find Jesus, Paul, or Peter saying to us, "You can prosper. You will become rich. You will reign like the kings. You will have a lot of gold, monetary favor, or transfer of wealth from the world" ?  It's because they know clearly that the focus or the affection of the gospel is not on the things of the world; it is on the things above.
There is, therefore, a clear line of difference in the teaching of Christ when it is compared with the teaching of the Old Testament. Christ's teaching would clearly set apart the things of the world and the things above. That's why we must all repent in Christ. We do not just turn from sin and lawlessness; we change our minds from thinking of the things of the world, to thinking of the things above:
  • Col 3:1-8 KJV  If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.  (2)  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  (3)  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.  (4)  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.  (5)  Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:  (6)  For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:  (7)  In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.  (8)  But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

What is false doctrine?
It is difficult to define false doctrine. It is because false doctrine is not a static doctrine. It keeps changing to avoid detection and discernment of God's people. Hence, I will not define false doctrine here, but I can give a simple illustration, only for the benefit of those who are too ignorant because of their simplicity of minds.
We have many examples of false doctrine in the Bible. Of course, when Satan spoke to us, he won't tell us that it is false doctrine, but we know that he can't hide his intention for preaching it:
  • Gen 3:1-5 KJV  Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?  (2)  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:  (3)  But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.  (4)  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:  (5)  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
  • Mat 4:3-11 KJV  And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.  (4)  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.  (5)  Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,  (6)  And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.  (7)  Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.  (8)  Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;  (9)  And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.  (10)  Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.  (11)  Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
Satan appeared twice in the Bible to tempt God's beloved - once in the book of Genesis (Old Testament) and another time in the gospel of Matthew (New Testament). Does it mean that he can only appear twice? No, Satan could have been appearing to men unknowingly and preaching all kinds of false doctrine to men (to the Jews who were under the Old Testament and to the believers who are now under the New Testament too). We may not have many recorded examples or Bible verses to show us how and what Satan will say to us, but we know that there is a common pattern in all his false doctrine. If we have read the two examples of how Satan tempted Adam and Jesus Christ above, we will know that
  1. he would always question God's words,   2. followed by his own interpretation of it which will always please us
Hence, we can anticipate what he will say whenever we tell him what God's words have said to us.
  1. he will say, No, you have misunderstood God. God's words did not say so; God words have said better things for you than you can imagine.
  2. he will say, No, God did not tell us to repent; God tells us to believe only
  3. he will say, No, God did not tell us to keep any law; God tells us to keep 'our word'
  4. he will say, No, God did not tell us to do His words; God tells us to hear only or hear the words only
  5. he will say, No, God did not tell us to be poor in the spirit; God tells us to prosper in the spirit
  6. he will say, No, God did not tell us to work honestly; God tells us to relax and expect the transfer of wealth supernaturally, from the wicked
  7. he will say, No, God did not tell us to do good; God tells us that doing good is self effort
  8. he will say, No, God did not tell us to confess our sins; God tells us that only sinners will confess their sins
  9. he will say, No, God did not tell us to take up the cross to die or suffer; God tells us to take the cross to get more favors
  10. he will say, No, God did not tell us to watch and be diligent; God tells us to rest and have positive thinking about everything
  11. he will say, No, God did not tell us to give Bible warning; God tells us to give Bible promises and only the good things
  12. he will say, No, God did not tell us that He will judge the whole world; God tells us that He will judge only a small category of bad people in the world.
  13. he will say, No, God did not tell us to do and teach His commandments; God tells us to do and teach grace, confession of righteousness, or the name of Jesus Christ only.
  14. ...
I can keep listing down all that he will say to us, but I don't think it is necessary for me to do that for the believers who have the unction of the Holy Spirit:
  • 1Jn 2:19-21 KJV  They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.  (20)  But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.  (21)  I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
We can see one very obvious conclusion from the way Satan would question God's words, that is, although the false doctrine cannot be detected easily based on the words and preaching of false prophets, it can be detected easily by knowing the attitude of those who preach it. Those who preach false doctrine, love to argue against God's words.

False doctrine is an attitude which loves to argue against God's words
I have talked to certain believers. I may not say that they have believed in false doctrine, but I fear that they could have been influenced to accept any kind of false doctrine, and they would fall if they are not careful. Have you met those who would argue with you whenever you tell them to repent? Yes, I did.
  1. They will say, "No, you do not need to repent; you only need to believe and right believing will lead you to change of mind and true repentance."
  2. They will say later, "No, you do not need to believe; you only need to know God's grace, and God grace will lead you to right believing, and right believing will lead you to repentance."
  3. They will say again, "No, you do not need to know God's grace; you only need to have a good opinion of God. The good opinion of God will lead you to God's grace, God's grace will lead you to right believing, and right believing will lead you to repentance."
I will tell them, Yes, I cannot argue with you because you are so logical that you become more and more refined with your arguments and definition of repentance. However, you have made repentance so complicated that people may not really repent in the end. Please think, If Jesus were around to tell you to repent, will you argue with him and say, "No, I will only need to have a good opinion of God, and the good opinion of God will lead me to .. and .. and .." ? No, you will not go through a lengthy analysis of what repentance is and argue with the Lord; you will just repent like Zacchaeus. You will repent immediately and unconditionally. You will be clear and determined to do what you are supposed to do with repentance too.
  • Luk 19:8-10 KJV  And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.  (9)  And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.  (10)  For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
However, if Zacchaeus were to hear your interpretation of repentance, he might tell himself that he would need to start from having a good opinion of God first, and good opinion of God will lead him to grace..., and grace will ..., and ..., and..., and by the time he reached repentance, it could be one year later. Do you think that he would still give half of his goods to the poor?
I will tell them, If we sincerely preach repentance to the people, we won't give them a long and complicated argument against repentance or analysis about repentance. We just tell them to repent, and do God's commandments with no more arguments. We don't have to preach very long sermon to impress anyone. We will just preach it without complicated definition and let the Holy Spirit do the work of conviction:
  • Mat 4:17 KJV  From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
  • Act 2:37-42 KJV  Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?  (38)  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  (39)  For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.  (40)  And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.  (41)  Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.  (42)  And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
  • Act 3:19-20 KJV  Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;  (20)  And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
  • Act 8:22-24 KJV  Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.  (23)  For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.  (24)  Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

False doctrine will become rampant during the end time
Many will still argue, "But why did you write a long explanation about repentance. You did it in many of your previous posts..."
I will tell them, Yes,  I did. That's because we are in the end time when there are lots of confusion and false doctrine about repentance. In the past, John the Baptist, Jesus Christ, and the Apostles would not need to explain, preach, or write many lengthy definitions of repentance. It's because they hardly need to confront or contend against any false doctrine and confusion about repentance. They were very clear and serious about the foundational principles of the doctrine of Christ. In fact, Paul would not allow any believers to teach or learn other principles of Christ before they had fully understood the foundational principles of Christ, including the doctrine of repentance:
  • Heb 6:1-3 KJV  Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,  (2)  Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.  (3)  And this will we do, if God permit.
Hence, if the churches were not growing, they would still need to go back to the foundation of repentance. Similarly, our churches today need to hear and know even more about the foundation of repentance as we are approaching nearer and nearer to the end time. Sadly, our churches today cannot grow as fast as the early churches. It's because we are now hearing more and more false doctrine than before. Hence, we are certain that the warnings of Jesus Christ against the false prophets are prophecies which will come true, not during the Apostles' time; but during the end time or our time:
  • Mat 7:15-24 KJV  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.  (16)  Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?  (17)  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.  (18)  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.  (19)  Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.  (20)  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.  (21)  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  (22)  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  (23)  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.  (24)  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
  • Luk 6:46-48 KJV  And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?  (47)  Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:  (48)  He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood (false doctrine) arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. (Hence, Jesus said clearly that He would not just want us to have right believing, right faith, right miracles, right preaching, or right confession only; he wants us to have right doing with His words too, because right doing would prove that we are His true disciples on the rock of salvation.)
  • Mat 24:23-26 KJV  Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.  (24)  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.  (25)  Behold, I have told you before.  (26)  Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
