- True believers will not just look at Jesus as their supply of bread in this world
- True believers will not just pick the Bible verses that they like to live their lives
- True believers will not just complain or confess about God's commands without doing it
- Is wife demand or supply ? Is it a biblical truth or nonsense ?
Radical grace preaches will ask,
"What? Do you
still ask people to repent, believe, take up their cross, and follow
Jesus today? You must be joking. People will run away. This is law
teaching. This is great demand and unreasonable command. Under grace, no such thing. The Bible shows that Law demands;
but grace supplies. Grace is a person, grace is Jesus, grace is a supply, not a demand. Hence, we will interpret that all the demands, commands, teaching of Jesus for you and me to do something are no longer valid. They were of the law. They were for the Jews, the Pharisees, the false prophets, and those who thought
that they could make Him king by taking up their cross, dying everyday, denying their
parents, plucking out their eyes, or jumping into the sea with a
millstone around their neck...
Mar 9:42-50 KJV And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. (43) And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: (44) Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. (45) And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: (46) Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. (47) And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: (48) Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. (49) For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. (50) Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
These Bible verses are not for us. Jesus would
never 'demand' or tell us to do such things.. because we are the righteous ones. We are the sons, not the servants .. we are under grace.. we just need to receive grace, receive Him and His supplies. But if we would always do, do, do, we would be under the law; we would be under the
demand of the law.. The sayings of
taking up the cross and doing this and that.. are only for the disciples and
servants. We are not the servants or disciples in the sense that we must die for
our master. Because we are under grace, our master must die for us; we don't die for our master.. Do you understand it? Do you understand why we must reject any law based on the golden rule of 'Law demands grace supplies" ?
1. The philosophy of 'Law demands but grace supplies' will reject all the commandments of the Lord as 'demands'
I will ask them, So, if the cross is a demand, it is not for us? Yes, I understand your intention. You would never accept the word of God if there is any demand, command, or do's or don'ts of God in the word of God. You think that God's command or demand for you to do something is too demanding on you. Yes, in fact, all God's laws, discipleship, and command to repent are demands which require you to do something. Hence, I can understand why you cannot accept any word, command, principle, or law which demands you to do something even if it is the word of the Lord for you to do good or to turn away from sins. Hence, I believe that you won't accept the words of the Lord below too. You would argue that all these teachings are for His twelve disciples only.
- Luk 9:23-24 KJV And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. (24) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
- Mat 16:24-25 KJV Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. (25) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
- Mat 28:19-20 KJV Go ye therefore,
and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of
the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
2. The philosophy of 'Law demands but grace supplies' will reject discipleship
They will say,
"Oh, yes, of course. The Bible verses above were spoken to His twelve disciples, not to us. Only the disciples or servants of Jesus will need to obey those commands and requirements. We are not servants. We are not under law; we are under grace. We are the Sons of God, not servants. Hence, there is no more demand or command for us. There is only supply for us.. 'Discipleship' is an obsolete idea in the New Testament. You won't find anyone called 'disciple' in the teaching of Paul, Peter, or John.. Instead, you will find sonship and inheritance..Why? It's because Jesus would never call us to be disciples; He would only call sinners to repentance. He would only want the sinners and all of us to be saved, to prosper, to be healed, and to be blessed. That's why He is called Jehovah Jireh, my provider, His grace is sufficient for me..Yes, there were a few believers who were called disciples in Act 16:1, Act 21:16, but they were old disciples. They were not mentioned anymore in the letters or Revelation. However, we are now called Christians; not disciples.. We cannot find disciples in the Apostles' letters but we can find Christians in their letters..
Act 26:28 KJV Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.
1Pe 4:16-17 KJV Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. (17) For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
I will tell them, Ok, you may be right. Yes, we are not called disciples anymore; we are called Christians. But do you know that the requirements for the disciples or the requirements for the Christians are the same? Do you know that there could be now more requirement being a Christian than being a disciple? Have you read the requirement of being a disciple below? Do you think
that the requirement of being a Christian should be different ?
- Php 2:4-8 KJV Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. (5) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: (6) Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: (7) But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: (8) And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
- Joh 8:31-33 KJV Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; (32) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (33) They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
- Joh 13:34-35 KJV A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. (35) By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
- Joh 15:5-10 KJV I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (6) If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. (7) If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. (8) Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. (9) As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. (10) If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
- Luk 14:27-35 KJV And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. (28) For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? (29) Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, (30) Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish... (33) So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. (34) Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned? (35) It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Have you sung hymn or song that says "Jesus is the centre of my life" or "Jesus is our commander in chief" ? If you sang it without believing it or knowing the 'demand' of how to let Jesus be the centre of your life, you have probably sung it hypocritically when your singing and your belief could not synchronise. Obviously if you do not continue in His word or commandment, you are no more His disciple (John 8:31-33) or branches (Joh 15:5-10), not even a Christian. You may not be saved at all. Why? Please think, If you wilfully reject the commands or commandments of the Lord, can you still be called a Christian or a believers? No, you may have become a fallen branch, salt which has lost its savour, or fallen preacher, which would be cast out by the Lord (Luke 14:35).
- Mat 7:15-27 KJV Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. (16) Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? (17) Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. (18) A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. (19) Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. (20) Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? (23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (24) Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: (25) And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. (26) And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: (27) And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
- Luk 6:46-48 KJV And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
(47) Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I
will shew you to whom he is like: (48) He is like a man which built
an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when
the flood (false doctrine) arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. (Hence,
Jesus said clearly that He would not just want us to have right
believing, right faith, right miracles, right preaching, or right confession only; he
wants us to have right doing with His words too, because right doing
would prove that we are His true disciples on the rock of salvation.)
3. The philosophy of 'Law demands but grace supplies' will reject growing up with God's commands
Do you know why Paul would want us to fight like a soldier ?
- 2Ti 2:1-4 KJV Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. (2) And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. (3) Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. (4) No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
As a soldier, my son, learn to take commands or demands from Jesus our commander in chief. Otherwise, we can never fight as a good soldier of Christ. We can only sleep or remain as babe in Christ.
- 1Co 9:24-27 KJV Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but
one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. (25) And every
man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they
do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. (26)
I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that
beateth the air: (27) But I keep under my body, and bring it into
subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
- Heb 12:1-2 KJV Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let
us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us,
and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
(2) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for
the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame,
and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
- Jas 5:7-11 KJV Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. (8) Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts:
for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. (9) Grudge not one against
another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth
before the door. (10) Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken
in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of
patience. (11) Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have
heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that
the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
Are the Bible verses above for others, the disciples, or us? Now, do you know why Jesus will never ask, command, or demand the sinners or the newly saved to sow like a farmer, fight like a soldier, and run like an athlete ? It's because the sinners or the newly saved can never take any commands; they can only take grace. But can we stay at their level forever with no command, no demand, no discipline, no discipleship, no training, and no instruction ? No. If we refuse to grow and take commands from the Lord or from the Spirit of God, we would be like babes forever !
- Heb 12:2-15 KJV Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (3) For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. (4) Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. (5) And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: (6) For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. (7) If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? (8) But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. (9) Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? (10) For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. (11) Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. (12) Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; (13) And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. (14) Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: (15) Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; (16) Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
- Heb 5:8-14 KJV Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; (9) And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; (10) Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. (11) Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. (12) For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. (13) For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. (14) But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
However, many preachers today have not helped their believers to grow. On the contrary, they have encouraged them to remain as babes. How? By preaching the parable of the prodigal son repeatedly and teaching the believers to remain as prodigal son, live like prodigal son, and receive grace like prodigal son. What's wrong? Of course, there is nothing wrong for the sinners or real prodigal sons to know the love of God and to receive grace. However, if you have known God for more than 10-20 years, you should not be a prodigal son. You should have grown up and become one of the sons of God. Can you still remain as a prodigal son again this year, next year, next next year, .. or another 30 years down the road? No, something would be very wrong if all your believers would just want to be the prodigal sons forever !
4. The philosophy of 'Law demands but grace supplies' has mixed up 'the law' with God's laws
I will tell them, If we preach that all the demand or command in the word of the Lord as 'the
law' (or the old Jewish covenant), we are deceiving the believers. If we cannot find
any demand or command from God in the Bible, we are not reading the
right Bible. If we have to interpret that all God's commandments as
demand and therefore they are 'the law' which demands, we are deceiving
the people. We are also deceiving the people that the Bible would have
only grace which supplies too. The philosophy that "law demands and grace supplies" to
condemn all God's laws as the law is a false doctrine. It seeks to
explain all God's laws as the law with the intention not to obey any
God's commandments including the commandments of Jesus Christ.
I will ask them, Under the law, did the Jews
eat bread? Will you tell them to stop eating bread because they are now
under grace? No, they will still have to eat bread. Similarly, when we
do not do the law of Moses, it does not mean that we will have no more
God's commandments. We will still have to obey God and God's
commandments. Hence, it would be ridiculous to use the philosophy of 'law demands grace supplies'
to give people the false impression that all the doing of God's laws
and commandments is doing the law of Moses or the law of circumcision.
Hence, don't confuse the people to think that all God's commandments are
the law or the curses of the law. Paul would never preach this. I will tell them, If
the word of God has no more laws, no more commandments, or no more
demands, it is not the word of God; it is the word of lawlessness. You
are answerable to the Lord who has given us His commandments and
commanded us to do His words:
- Mat 7:15-28 KJV Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. (16) Ye shall know them by their fruits.
Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? (17) Even so
every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth
forth evil fruit. (18) A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit,
neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. (19) Every tree
that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the
fire. (20) Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
(21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into
the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is
in heaven. (22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we
not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in
thy name done many wonderful works? (23) And then will I profess unto
them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (24) Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: .. Luk 6:46-48 KJV And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
(47) Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I
will shew you to whom he is like: (48) He is like a man which built
an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when
the flood (false doctrine) arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. (Hence, we can know them by their will to do or not to do God's words and commandments too. Jesus said clearly that He would not just want us to have right
believing, right faith, right miracles, right preaching, or right confession only; he
wants us to have right doing with His words too, because right doing
would prove that we are His true disciples on the rock of salvation.)
- Rev 22:10-16 KJV And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. (11) He
that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let
him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous
still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. (12) And,
behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man
according as his work shall be. (13) I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning
and the end, the first and the last. (14) Blessed are they that do his commandments,
that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through
the gates into the city. (15) For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and
whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and
maketh a lie. (16) I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you
these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David,
and the bright and morning star.
5. The Philosophy of 'Law demands but grace supplies' was a New Age teaching 20 years ago
Many of us probably do not know what is New Age teaching. Many of us probably were not born 20 years ago. One of the most popular of New Age teaching at that time was to deny everything that Jesus taught by saying that Jesus teaching were 'hard sayings' only for the Jews. The New Age teaching was not well-received because the Christians knew that most of the Pharisees or carnal believers would deny Christ by rejecting the teaching of Christ as 'hard sayings' too.
- Joh 6:59-60 KJV These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. (60) Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
Hence, it is easy to discern the New Age believers as false preachers
when they preached like the Pharisees and complained that all the
teaching of Jesus were hard sayings. However, some of them had managed to convince some Christians to believe them when they showed how Jesus teaching was hard saying against the Pharisees:
- Luk 11:41-46 ISV (41) So give what is inside to the poor, and then everything will be clean for you. (42) "How terrible it will be for you Pharisees! For you give a tenth of your mint, spices, and every kind of herb, but you neglect justice and the love of God. These are the things you should have practiced, without neglecting the others. (43) How terrible it will be for you Pharisees! For you love to have the places of honor in the synagogues and to be greeted in the marketplaces. (44) How terrible it will be for you! For you are like unmarked graves, and people walk on them without realizing it." (45) Then one of the experts in the law said to him, "Teacher, when you say these things, you insult us, too." (46) Jesus said, "How terrible it will be for you experts in the law, too! For you load people with burdens that are hard to carry, yet you yourselves don't even lift one of your fingers to ease the burdens.
They argued that Jesus' rebuke or hard saying was only for those who preached the
law or hard rules to tithe or to sow 'seeds', and that therefore there is no more
need for the Lord's command, hard saying, or rebuke for the churches today. I
will ask them, Do you think that the Pharisees or false prophets in Jesus'
time could argue with the Lord and said that His hard saying was no more
valid against them? Of course not. Similarly, false prophets today can
never argue with the Lord and say that His hard saying or rebuke is no more
applicable to them too. As long as there are still hypocrites, Pharisees,
and false prophets, the Lord's hard saying is there to expose them and
warn the believers about their false doctrines and greedy deceits. Please read the Lord's
teaching above again. Jesus' hard saying above is not only for those who
preached hard rules or laws to the Jews in (v46);
his hard saying is also for those who used the tithing principle or the tithes belonged to God
to enrich themselves and glorify themselves in the marketplaces instead of giving it to the poor, doing justice, and showing love to the people (v41-43)....
Now, are there preachers who preach hard rules like the lawyers to the people in (v46)? You bet. Yes. Are there also preachers who preach prosperity, fame, and favour to exalt themselves in (v41-43) too? Of course, many. I will tell them, If the situation in the house of God has not improved, I don't see any reason why Jesus' hard saying is no more valid for our churches today. Hence, the New Age preachers, who had the intention to prosper themselves in the house of God and argued that the Lord's teaching and hard saying could never apply to them, could not preach very convincingly to deceive us.
But, today many of them could have found a new philosophy which can now keep their heads up with the hope that they could now operate once more by rejecting all the Lord's commands, teachings, and commandments, as hard sayings which are obsolete - the philosophy of "Law demands but grace supplies".
They will argue, "How do you know that my philosophy is not biblical? It is the most logical philosophy when we said that law demands, law kills, law brings the curse, and law makes people poor, stupid, legalistic, heartless, uncaring, ungracious, hypocritical, .. however, grace is different. Grace will make us rich, wise, intelligent, loving, godly, likeable, .. like Gods hmmm, I mean like Christs. Grace is the answer, not the law, God's laws, God's commandments, hard sayings, commands, and demands.."
I will tell them, Don't deceive us. Paul had only preached against 'the law' in Roman, Hebrews, Corinthians, and Galatians. You would never find Paul preaching against God's laws or commandments in all his letters. By just adding 'grace' in your deception or your philosophy of 'Law demands but grace supplies', don't expect us to believe that your philosophy is from the Bible.
However, you have deceived the people that all the Lord's teachings and commandments are not only hard sayings, but also unreasonable demand valid only for the Pharisees or the Jews. You have confused most of the believers that the Lord's commandments were the old testament law, hard saying, and demand which has become obsolete for the believers today.
When you did this, you have shown us very clearly that you have entertained lawlessness in your hearts and have been taught the same philosophy and strategy to tempt the 'Eve's by showing that God's laws are all demands and commands which should not be kept anymore.
- 2Co 11:3-4 KJV But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. (4) For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
- Gen 2:16-17 KJV And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: (17) But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. (3:4) And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
6. The Philosophy of 'Law demands but grace supplies' is still a very self-centred philosophy
They will argue,
"How can the teaching or thinking of grace be self-centred. Grace is not a theology or message. Grace is a person and His name is
Jesus. Grace is Jesus Christ. When we rest in the truth of Jesus, God fills us with His love
till it overflows from our hearts and touches the lives of those around
us. "
I will tell them, Jesus is not just grace or supply. Jesus is also the Word, the Truth, the Way, the Life, the law and commandments in our hearts too (Heb 8:10, 10:16).
Heb 8:10-11 KJV For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: (11) And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
Jesus does not just have grace; He has put His teaching, laws, and doctrine into our hearts too. So, we can never conclude that Grace is Jesus Christ because grace is just one part of His attributes. Yes, Jesus has grace and wisdom and gives grace to the sinners. But He also has commands and commandments and give His commands to His disciples and believers too. Now, I will ask the radical grace preachers, Will you reject Jesus just because you know that He has commands or demands for you? Will you reject true grace because there is command for you? Or will you look for someone else who is totally 'grace' and has no command for you? Probably you have found one who is totally grace like what you desire - He is grace and Grace is 'Him' but He is not Jesus. He is just your idol of 'Grace' which is just grace and nothing else. Of course, He is not God. You have probably worship a 'gift' and made it your 'God' or idol. By doing so, you have rejected the true God who is the giver or who is more than the gift of grace.
7. The Philosophy of 'Law demands but grace supplies' is just a man's 'negative-positive' philosophy
They will say, "What's
wrong if we say that law demands but grace supplies? It's common sense.
Anything that demands is negative. Anything that supplies is positive.
Don't you agree that it is true. Hence, only grace is positive .. only
grace is supply because Jesus is supply"
I will tell them,
Yes, it's common sense. But it is not Bible doctrine. If we will accept
or welcome only the things that supply, we would be greatly deceived.
Obviously God's laws and commandments are not 'supply' or something that
a sinner would normally like, but God's laws are from God. Hence, they
are not necessarily negative. Only Satan or anything which comes from
Satan is negative. The things that Satan said may seem to be all
positive. He may even claim that everything that he said is positive but
it would turn out to be negative ultimately. Obviously the command of the Lord God was a demand; but
the word of the serpent was a fantastic supply. But we should never make our choice based on demand or supply.
- Gen 2:16-17 KJV And the LORD God commanded the man,
saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: (17) But
of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it:
for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
- Gen 3:4-6 KJV And the serpent said unto the
woman, Ye shall not surely die: (5) For God doth know that in the day
ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods,
knowing good and evil. (6) And when the woman saw that the tree was
good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be
desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat,
and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
We should never judge God's law or commandment as negative based
on our own thinking; neither should we judge it as demand based on our
own philosophy. If the Bible has never said that God's law is negative,
we should never teach people so.
- Mat 5:18-19 KJV For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth
pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all
be fulfilled. (19) Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so,
he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever
shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom
of heaven.
It would be very misleading if we deliberately misquote Paul's
argument against the law of the Jews to deceive the Gentile sinners that
all the laws of God are negative demands to them too. If we are
responsible preachers, we will explain that Paul had never preached
against God's laws and commandments. He only preached against the law of
Moses, the law of circumcision, or the old Jewish covenant in Acts, Romans, Hebrews, Corinthians, and Galatians.
- Act 15:5 KJV But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses. ..
Act 15:24 KJV Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out
from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
- Rom 2:25-29 KJV For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law:
but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made
uncircumcision. (26) Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the
righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for
circumcision? (27) And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if
it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost
transgress the law? (28) For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly;
neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: (29) But
he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
- Gal 6:13-15 KJV For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law;
but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
(14) But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord
Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the
world. (15) For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any
thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
8. The Philosophy of 'Law demands but grace supplies' has no belief of morality teaching
Have you heard of radical grace preachers who emphasized that Christianity or the gospel is not about the teaching of morality or doing God's laws. They told the people that the Christianity is all about grace, and that there is nothing for them to do even after they have become believers - no laws, no commandments, and no discipleship. They told the sinners to receive grace without repentance from sins. Well, this type of teaching or doctrine suits most of the New Age believers. They believe that they can never sin if they don't do any harm to others. Basically, this is what most New Age believers believe:
- you can do whatever you want so long as you don't hurt anyone
- you can do whatever you want with someone else as long as there's
consent
- don't judge anyone else, and if you do judge
someone else the fury of hell will come upon you.
Hence, they still believe that they cannot kill, steal, cheat, or harm others, but it's ok to commit adultery or go to the prostitutes. As long as both parties consent and do nothing to harm others, they would not care if what they do is immoral or forbidden in the Bible. Of course, they will welcome grace teaching which does not emphasize or have any moral teaching too. They would scream "Amens" when their favourite grace preachers kept saying "Law demands but grace supplies".
However, this would give me the creep when I heard their screams and cheers in our churches. Have our churches become so liberal ? or have we degraded our moral principles to those of the people of Sodom and Gomorrha who practise adultery, 'free' sex, and immorality without the fear of God?
- 2Pe 2:4-15 KJV For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; (5) And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; (6) And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; (7) And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (8) (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) (9) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: (10) But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. (11) Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. (12) But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; (13) And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; (14) Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: (15) Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
- Jud 1:3-12 KJV Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. (4) For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. (5) I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. (6) And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. (7) Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (8) Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. .. (10) But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. (11) Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. (12) These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
They will argue,
"The Bible verses above are not applicable to us anymore because we are under grace. However, many churches today still teach the above to their believers and make a law out of it. That's why we should preach more on the grace of God to the believers..."
I will tell them, If this is why you condemn the teaching of Godly lives and moral principles from the teaching of God's laws and commandments to the believers, you are not preaching grace. You are just using grace as your 'gimmick' to degrade all the believers to 'morally unsound' believers. Preaching of grace should help the sinners to repent, believe, and come to Jesus; but you have used it as your cunning argument against all the teaching of moral principles and God's laws to the churches and believers. Of course, there is nothing wrong to teach moral principles or God's laws to the believers. Of course, it doesn't mean that, if you use 'grace' philosophy to teach your believers instead, you would be more spiritual than the law preachers who use God's laws to teach the believers.
9. True believers will not just look at Jesus as their supply of bread in this world
They will say, If Jesus is our supplies, "
Haha,
why not? Jesus is the supply. He can never be our demand. It means that
He will never put any demand on us. He will never give us commandments
or tell us to keep His commandments too. It is against His character to
demand from us.. He will satisfy all our neeeds..- Php 4:19 KJV But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus...
I will tell them, If you see all God's commandments as demands, yes, I
must say that there is still demand from God. Please read your Bible
again. If there is no demand or command from God, it is not the grace of
God. It is lawlessness.
However, today, many people would love to eat bread from Jesus but they
are not interested in the bread of life. They are interested to prosper
materially and promote Jesus as their king or as their supply for all
their physical needs. But please think, Why would Jesus depart when he
knew that they wanted
to make him a king or a bread supplier ? It's because they were greedy,
carnal, unrepentant, and lawless (hater of God's commandments). Jesus
would never want to be the king of a bunch of self-righteous and
feel-good Jewish believers who were still carnal under the Corban or law
teaching of the Pharisees. Jesus had expected that many of the
disciples will fall away like those in the parable of the sowers (Mat 13:3-9):
- Joh 6:13-15 KJV Therefore they
gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of
the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had
eaten. .. (15) When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come
and take him by force, to make him a king,
he departed again into a mountain himself alone. .. (24) When the
people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples,
they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.
(25) And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they
said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither? (26) Jesus answered
them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. (27) Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life,
which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father
sealed. ... (66) From that time many of his disciples went back, and
walked no more with him. (67) Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye
also go away? (68) Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall
we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. (69) And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
- Mat 19:17 KJV And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
- Rev 22:14 KJV Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Jesus is not only the bread of life, He is the tree of life. But many believers would still "labour for the meat which perishes (Joh 6:27). They
think that they have found the supply of bread, prosperity, success,
and material gains in this world which has no God's laws, no God's
commandments, and no God's demands. But they have not found the real
Jesus; the real Jesus will tell them that the real bread is to keep
God's commandments. The real Jesus will tell them to repent and take up
their cross.
- Mat 4:4 KJV But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
- Mat 16:24-25 KJV Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. (25) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
- Luk 9:23-24 KJV And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. (24) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
- Mat 28:19-20 KJV Go ye therefore, and teach
all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Ghost: (20) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
However, many believers will depart in the end (like those disciples in John 6:66). It's because they do not want to keep God's commandments and will look for 'another Jesus' who has no demands (or no commands) for them.
- 2Co
11:3-4 KJV But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve
through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the
simplicity that is in Christ. (4) For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus,
whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye
have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye
might well bear with him.
10. True believers will not just pick the Bible verses that they like to live their lives
Of course, if
the disciples or believers can pick the Bible verses that they like to
believe or live their lives, they are not true disciples. Yet many
radical grace preachers today would just flip to their favourite Bible
chapters or Bible verses, argue radically with their own interpretation,
and make perverted conclusion against all the rest of the teaching of
the Lord in other Bible verses. One clear example is their
interpretation of repentance based on the following Bible verse:
Mar 1:15 KJV And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
They argue that
repentance is just to believe because Jesus connected both words
'repent' and 'believe' together. Hence, it is just to 'metanoia', change
your mind, and believe; or just change from unbelief tbelieving belief.
They will say, "Jesus
had actually preached and told the people to believe only. If they
believed only, they would repent later. Did Jesus tell them to repent, turn away from sins, sin no more, deny themselves, die to their old selves, take up their cross, and follow Him. No, Jesus just said, 'Repent and believe Him only
!'. This is the real gospel to everyone. If anyone adds anything to His
command, he has added self effort to the gospel of grace. They have not
preached the true gospel of Jesus Christ .."
I will ask them, Have you read the following Bible verses. Did Jesus say, "Repent and believe only ?"
- Mat 16:24-25 KJV Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. (25) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
- Mar 8:34-35 KJV And when he had called the
people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever
will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
(35) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever
shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save
it.
- Luk 9:18-24 KJV And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am? .. (23) And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. (24) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
- Joh 12:22-25 KJV Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus. (23) And Jesus answered them, saying, .. (24) Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die,
it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. (25)
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in
this world shall keep it unto life eternal. (26) If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
They will argue, "Jesus
commanded only His disciples to deny themselves. In fact, only His
twelve disciples would need to deny themselves and take up their cross.
That's why Peter and many of them died on the cross, in the lion dens,
and as martyrs. Whilst they suffered like Christ so that we, the
churches, will be blessed and prospered more. They did it willingly and
gladly for us ..."
I
will tell them, They did not do it for you; they did it willingly for
their Master. Will you do it for your Master? Only you can answer it.
Yes, you are right when you could read the Bible and said that Jesus
gave the commandment to all His disciples. However, don't you include
yourselves as His disciples too? If you miss the correct interpretation,
you should not miss it again when Jesus said clearly to all His
disciples that "If any man, whosoever, or all of you, will come after me .. " Don't you think that it is a clear command for all of you too ?
They will still argue, "You
are beginning to condemn us like the Pharisees now. Why are you so
law-conscious with the Lord's commandment ? Under grace, we don't have
to be so serious to follow everything. I am Jesus did not mean it.
Denying ourselves is just to deny our self-efforts, deny any efforts to
do good, deny the law, deny the Pharisee's teaching, deny anti-grace
teaching, deny ..."
I will tell
them, Denying all these is not repentance. Denying all these to deny the
command of the Lord is denying the Lord. I am not condemning you. But
if you think that God's preachers are condemning you just because they
disagree with your false teaching, evasive justification, oxymoron
arguments, or wrong interpretation, you have abused grace and the
doctrine of justification.
Now, I will go
back to the following Bible verse and find out if it has exempted us
from denying ourselves, taking up our cross, and following Him: Mar 1:15 KJV And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
I
would interpret it like all people who would read and understand like
this: When Jesus told us to repent and believe the gospel, He told us to
believe and do all the things in the gospel which would include all His
teaching and commandments. Hence, if we just want to believe only, we
are not believing the gospel. It is simply because Jesus had never
preached 'Believe only'.
- Mat 3:7-8 KJV But when he saw many of the
Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O
generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to
come? (8) Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
- Mat 9:12-13 KJV But when Jesus heard that,
he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they
that are sick. (13) But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have
mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but
sinners to repentance.
- Luk 24:47 KJV And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
- Act
26:19-20 KJV Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the
heavenly vision: (20) But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at
Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the
Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for
repentance.
- Rev 2:5 KJV Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent,
and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will
remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
I will tell the
radical grace preachers, If you still think that repentance is just to
believe only, please read the following Bible verses.
- Act 5:31 KJV Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
Please be honest, instead of preaching God's forgiveness of sins with repentance as above, Can you just preach believing only to obtain God's forgiveness of your sins ?
Of course, I would think that the forgiveness of our sins will be given
only if there is repentance; not when we will just believe only. If God
will just give forgiveness of sins to any sinners without repentance,
His forgiveness is not called forgiveness anymore; it is called
lawlessness, or radical grace. Only Satan will give his own version of
'forgiveness of sins' without repentance. That's why I would think that
Jesus would preach repentance to all the sinners first. In fact, He
asked them to repent (first) and (then) believe the Gospel. He showed us
clearly that we must all repent first and then believe the Gospel; not
the reversed way - to believe the Gospel, prosper, and then repent !
- Mar 1:15 KJV And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
11. True believes will not just complain or confess about God's commands without doing it
They will still argue, "But I have asked people to guard their hearts. I have asked people to do good. I always teach principles and good values, not to lie, not to steal, not to ... I have always preached from Psalm 1 and tell them just to meditate, metanoia, and confess the word of God. But I will never preach the commandments of God like do's and don'ts or demands. I preach beautifully.. and they will never sin.. Haha .. I have preached myself happy.."
I will tell them, You have preached like the Pharisees who told the Jews just to confess or meditate on the law of God without doing it. If what you said is true, you are either a very confused person like the sinners who never read the Bible or worst a false prophet who preaches evasively to avoid detection. Why? You have preached the philosophy of 'law demands but grace supplies' to give people the false impression that all God's laws are unreasonable do's and don't and demands, but now you tell people to listen to your do's and don'ts? That's not very ethical ? You could have learnt all your principles and Bible values from God's laws and commandments and now you want to claim credit for yourselves by saying that it is from your grace philosophies? That's very brilliant but disgusting. You are trying to take over God's laws and commandments and tell people to follow your words instead of God's written words.
12. Is wife demand or supply ? Is it a biblical truth or nonsense ?
Have you heard of people who argue that 'wives demand but husbands supplies' ? Of course, this is a men's philosophy too and it is ridiculous. But yet we would not deny that it is true in certain community, society, or custom. But we will never say that it is a biblical truth. Of course, we would never divorce our wives just because they are demanding, right? Wives who are demanding may not be so bad that we have to divorce them. The fact that wives are generally more demanding than the husbands should not give us enough basis to divorce our wives.
Hence, it would be ridiculous if we teach people to reject God's law on the basis of 'demand and supply' too. Yes, we can be free from our wives; but that would be possible only if our wives have died or we ourselves have died. Similarly, we can never 'divorce' or free ourselves from the old law or the old covenant unless the law has become dead to us or we to the law. I know that it is not a good illustration because none of us are under the law, none of us are Jews who received the law of Moses or the old covenant from God, but it should show us clearly that we cannot accept or reject the law of God based on our own philosophy of 'supply and demand'. We must accept or reject the law of God based on the word of God. We must find out if God has given us His word or command to change His law or to accept His new covenant law. Otherwise, we do not propose changes to His laws ourselves, based on our own 'demand-supply' philosophy.
- Rom 7:1-8 KJV Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? (2) For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. (3) So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. (4) Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. (5) For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. (6) But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. (7) What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. (8) But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
- 1Co 7:39 KJV The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
- Heb 8:10-13 KJV For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: (11) And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. (12) For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. (13) In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
