Is radical grace gospel too good to be true ?

The radical grace message essentially takes the verses about God’s mercy and forgiveness out of context in order to teach that we mustn’t worry about sinning, because God’s grace is more radical than we can imagine and it is too good to be true. But is this the true message of grace from the Lord? You won't say so or think so if you know the teaching of the Lord about the servant who had received grace and thought that it was 'too good to be true' too. The servant had probably thought that he could do anything he liked and it would never judge him. He thought that the 'favour' or grace he received would be greater than all his sins (debt), including all his future sins.
  • Mat 18:23-33 KJV  Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.  .. (32)  Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:  (33)  Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
a. justification by faith or by grace is only the beginning of a believer's forgiven life so that he can do more with the words and commandments of God in his life. The grace for cancellation of debts or forgiveness of debts is not given so that we can have more future debts or more future lawlessness. It is certainly not an excuse or license to have more future sins with no more repentance (or to sin wilfully).

  • Luk 13:2-10 KJV  And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?  (3)  I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.  (4)  Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?  (5)  I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.  (6)  He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.  (7)  Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?  (8)  And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:  (9)  And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.  (10)  And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.

b. Grace is not forever - it is given for the purpose of repentance, turning back to God's commandments, keeping God's laws, and doing His words. Grace is not given for the purpose of enjoying or living in lawlessness forever. Grace is not there forever if we are forever lawless in our hearts or minds. However, if we repent, keep the commandments of God, and live with the laws of God in our hearts and minds, God will remember all our lawlessness no more and He will be our God forever:
  • Heb 10:16-17 LITV  "This is the covenant which I will covenant to them after those days, says the Lord: Giving My Laws on their hearts, and I will write them on their minds;"  (17)  also He adds, "I will not at all still remember their sins" and their lawlessnesses. ..
  • Heb 8:10 LITV  Because this is the covenant which I will covenant with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord, giving My Laws into their mind, and I will write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."
  • Luk 19:8-10 LITV  But standing, Zaccheus said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, half of my possessions I give to the poor. And if in anything I accused anyone falsely, I restore it fourfold.  (9)  And Jesus said to him, Today salvation has come to this house, for he also is a son of Abraham.  (10)  For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the one being lost.

Hence, the cancellation of debt or forgiveness of debt is not given so that a believer can have more future debt or lawlessness forever. It is certainly not an excuse or license to have more future sin or lawlessness without any repentance. However, many preachers have deceived the believers into thinking that they can literally expect forgiveness of all their future sins, and even supernatural cancellation of all their future financial debts, if they will just radically believe or do and teach their 'holy communion's blood cleansing' ritual, 'pure grace' confession, 'supernatural' favour, 'mind changing' philosophy, or 'false repentance' to disregard and to 'repent' from all the laws and commandments of God. I did write about some preachers who have managed to quote the Bible out of context and capitalise on this 'supernatural' deception or 'cancellation of debts' to transfer effortless wealth to themselves. (see "Supernatural cancellation of debts - Is it really a supernatural transfer of wealth, a religious gimmick, or just a vain religious boasting?" in my previous post here.)
Radical grace preachers or hyper grace preachers will argue, "What's wrong ? Of course, the gospel is goodnews. If goodnews is not radically good, it cannot be goodnews. If Jesus is not radically good, He is not our Jesus. Grace must be radically good to judge us as righteous no matter how we sin in the future. In fact, we have no more future sins in the eyes of God even if we sin or commit adulteries. We are FOREVER the righteousness of God in Christ .. We can never fall.. And, hence, we have no need to confess sin or to be convicted of sins.. and, hence, 1 John 1:9 may be for other 'christians' or law believers; but it is not for us, the strong and the righteous grace believers."
I will tell them, The logic sounds good; but the motive is questionable. Do you mean that people cannot repent if grace is not radically good enough for them? If this is so, many people who can only repent after hearing your radical grace message may not have truly repented. It's because repentance from sins for all the sinners should be unconditional before God, whether they know that God is too good to be true or not. If God must comply and do something to give extra grace or to appease all the sinners and the rebellious, something is wrong. However, do you know what is Paul's attitude to God's grace when he knew that God's grace was not 'radically good' for him? There was 'a certain kind of infirmities' in the grace given to him. However, he was still contented to receive it with gladness:
2Co 12:9 KJV And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Paul learned that God's grace was given; not demanded. He also knew that there were different 'amounts' of grace. But he would still feel contented even if the amount given to him was not 'radically' much. It was sufficient for him.

Grace alone is sufficient: we don't need any radical grace
If we think that "we need to preach grace radically or else people will not change or become saved", we have too little faith on grace alone or on the people who would just repent without asking for radical grace. We are probably deceiving ourselves. We really need to check our motives on why we need to preach it radically, for people to repent less ? to repent later ? or to prosper more ? Please think, If we are so afraid that the people will not come to Jesus and repent that we have to preach radical grace to gives them the wrong impression that repentance is immaterial or is anything, we have no true faith in the gospel of true repentance.
Hence, we won't think or preach that grace is radical. However, the Pharisees would think that any grace is radical even though Paul had ensured that what he preached was not radical. He had declared it clearly:
Rom 6:1-2 KJV  What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?  (2)  God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
When Paul said, God forbid - it means a clear commandment not to live in sins, a commandment not to sin with grace, and a commandment to still honour our parents with grace:
  • Eph 6:2-3 KJV  Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)  (3)  That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
  • Rom 13:9-14 KJV  For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. ..(13) Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.  (14)  But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
It is still a commandment to obey the ten commandment too.

Grace alone is sufficient; but it will not replace repentance or God's laws
However, there are also some who would interpret that "grace alone is sufficient" means that grace is the only thing or only God they need to preach. They will preach that grace is Jesus Christ, everything, or anything. Hence, they will not preach repentance, Godly values, teachings, principles, commandments, warnings, discipleship, prayer, humility .. etc - they argue, "Grace is sufficient ! Grace supplies, all the rest like the laws will only demand." Well, I don't know what you think. I would think, This kind of radical grace will destroy everything.

We should not give people the false impression that we are preaching radical grace
Obviously, the Pharisees would not want to believe that Paul had preached 'sound' grace. They insisted that Paul had preached the radical grace which allowed people to sin and break all God's commandments. Similarly, today there are people who say, "If you do not preach grace until others misunderstand your grace as radical grace or license to sin, you are not preaching grace." So, in order to make this happen, they themselves started to preach everything radically against repentance and God's commandments, so much so that people would become confused and think that radical grace is 'as lawless as what Paul preached' when Paul didn't. They think that confused believers would be more convinced and this would give them the added effect to promote their radical grace revolution. However, they are just using the Pharisees' thinking or accusation as their excuses to preach more lawlessness, confusion, and anti-repentance for personal gain.
2Pe 2:17-21 KJV  These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.  (18)  For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.  (19)  While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.  (20)  For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.  (21)  For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
However, we know that Paul had never preached radical grace.  His believers had never misunderstood him; only the Pharisees had tried to confuse us.

Paul was a preacher of God's commandments; not a radical grace preacher
No, in fact, Paul had preached a lot of godly living, God's commandments, and warnings, which was not considered as radical grace:
Eph 6:1-3 KJV  Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.  (2)  Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)  (3)  That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
Heb 10:26 KJV  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 6:4-6 KJV  For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,  (5)  And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,  (6)  If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Paul was a repentance preacher; not a radical grace preacher
Most radical grace preachers believe that all the Bible verses above are not for them. However, I will tell them, Let's not argue if these Bible verses are for you or not for you here; I will just ask, If Paul taught or preached these Bible verses to the people, do you think the people would still consider him as a radical grace preacher? No ! In fact, some Pharisees had thought that he was a condemnation preacher !
  • Act 26:20-21 KJV  But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.  (21)  For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.

What is radical grace?
Radical grace preachers have tried to define repentance as 'metanoia' or as 'change of mind without thinking about any sins or confession of sins'. It could be correct because direct translation of the word from Greek 'metanoia' has no mention of sins or confession of sins. But that was not the Bible intent when it was a command for the sinners to come before God. Of course, Jesus called the sinners to repentance of sins, not to repentance of the minds. Jesus wants all the sinners to turn away from sins. If we just want to argue to get the meaning right so that no sins is mentioned in the preaching of repentance, we have no intention for the sinners to repent from their sins. When we have no intention for the sinners to repent from their sins, the sinners will never have the intention to repent too = simple logic. We may receive many testimonies or proofs that they have 'repented' and have changed their lives, but I doubt if they are true repentance. Why? How can they truly repent from their sins if they have no intention to repent from sins or if they have only intention to 'metanoia' or change their minds only ? They could deceiving themselves with their testimonies.
Since, radical grace preachers have tried to define repentance in this way, I will define what is the meaning of 'radical' too.

According to my web dictionary, 'radical' is 'opinion or thinking of something far beyond the norm".

Hence, 'radical grace' could mean a type of grace which is far beyond the normal thinking. After knowing how the 'radical grace' has changed the Bible, I would think that it is some kind of thinking or teaching which will change the Bible into something far beyond the norm. Hence, please think again if you think that radical grace is from the Bible.

Radical grace ? Paul said: "God forbid"
I will tell radical grace preachers, I am not against grace or the preaching of grace. Grace is not license to sin. But if grace is preached radically with no preaching of repentance or teaching of God's laws, it is radical grace and it would become the radical grace which Paul said, "God forbid" in Rom 6:1-2 above. Today, if you preach the gospel which is too good to be true, do you give people the radical idea that it is too good to repent or too good to do any God's commandments? If you do, you have preached the radical grace which Paul had said, "God forbid" ! It's because we will still preach repentance and turning away from sins, and preach that men should not continue in sin:
Rom 6:1-2 KJV  What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?  (2)  God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
This was what Paul preached. What have you preached ?
The gospel would not be too good to be true once you have asked people to repent and preached like Jesus or John the Baptist:
Mat 3:7-8 KJV  But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?  (8)  Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Mat 22:12-14 KJV  And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless... (14)  For many are called, but few are chosen.
Mat 7:13-16 KJV  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  (14)  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.  (15)  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.  (16)  Ye shall know them by their fruits. ..
Hence, people of the world including the believers could have been deceived when they rush to hear the goodnews without repentance ! They have believed the following lies:
  1. grace with repentance is condemnation !
  2. grace with false repentance is goodnews !
  3. grace without repentance is radically attractive !

Did Paul tell us to preach only the good things?
Radical grace preachers will still argue, "But don't you agree that God's preachers must preach only the good things? What's the problem if I preach a saviour that is too good to be true? This will save more people.. "
I will ask them, Don't you agree that God's pastors must teach God's commands and give 'good' warnings to the flocks too. If you said you must preach only the good things, do you break your own 'command' (that preachers must preach only the good things) by doing the followings:
  1. Condemn God's law or the teaching of God's law as the curse of the law, or
  2. boast against repentance preaching or the repentant believers
Do you know that doing the above would not be very good ? It would only show that your 'command' of preaching only the good things cannot stand up to the test of deeper reasoning and cannot be a biblical principle.

Who would reject a gospel that is too good to be true ?
Finally, please think, If the gospel has to be preached until it is too good to be true, do you think Jesus and John the Baptist would be persecuted ? If they had preached it until repentance was seldom mentioned, except only more prosperity, more favours, more grace, and more freedom from God's commandments, would they be persecuted by the Pharisees or those who would not repent ? No, if the Lord or John the Baptist had preached the gospel
  1. until it was too good to be true,
  2. until the people misunderstood them, or
  3. until the gospel was misunderstood as the gospel of non-repentance, license to sin, or lawless doctrine,
do you think they would die ? They have died for the gospel; will you rather prosper on the gospel instead ?
1Co 9:16-18 KJV  For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!  (17)  For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.  (18)  What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
Hence, on that basis, I believe that, Paul too, would not preach the gospel until it is too good to be true.
We are not against the preaching of grace. However, if grace is radically preached until we have the wrong impression that the churches cannot preach: repentance, turning away from sins, obedience to God, keeping God's commandments, taking up our cross, sound doctrine, suffering to uphold God's justice, judging false doctrines, and speaking up against religious deception .., it can never be God's grace or the grace that Jesus preached (Luk 24:45-48). We should speak up for the churches if the sinners have all been misled to think that the churches have walked under the law and preached like the Pharisees just because they have preached more on repentance, turning away from sins, God's commandments, Godly instructions, doing good, servanthood, faithful service to the Lord, suffering for Christ, humility, contentment, discipline, sound doctrine, or the Lord's warnings. Yes, I do not deny that the radical grace preachers can win arguments well without any preaching of repentance or the above, and their gospel may win the hearts of many including the unrepentant sinners. However, their gospel is not the gospel of Christ and their teaching is not sound doctrine from the teaching and the letters of the Apostles. Sadly, most of the sinners would love radical grace not because they were touched radically by God's goodness or God's forgiveness of their sins, but because they were greatly entertained by radical grace which promotes mind changing philosophies, effortless prosperity, vain religious obsession, boastful mentality, and lawlessness teaching, all in the name of grace.

Hence, I would think that radical grace is a type of new age teaching which would radically and wrongly use Paul's arguments against the Old Jewish covenant, preach against every teaching of the Lord in the Bible, and amuse everybody who would just want to listen to 'only the good things' without checking their Bible.

Preaching grace or radical grace as license to sin today could be one of the most popular religious 'gimmicks' which would attract many ignorant sinners or believers
There are many ways in which the unrepentant sinners or believers could justify themselves for sinning nowadays. Preaching grace as license to sin or like license to sin is just one of their most favoured doctrines today. But, if we look around, we will know that in the past they have also preached with many other perverted doctrines to justify their sins too. Although many of them think that they have not been convicted of any serious crimes or sins yet, they would think that it is good or 'legitimate' to ensure that they have no condemnation or no conviction even if they will commit the sins in the future. So, they would radically hear, confess, and quote many Bible accounts and examples out of its context to encourage one another to have no condemnation in whatever they do in the past, present, and future. They would vehemently argue:
  1. Since Abraham lied about his wife and still could become the righteousness of God, so can I
  2. Since King David committed adulteries and still could find favour with God, so can I
  3. Since many sinners today have sinned all kinds of sins and still could be considered as under grace, so can I (without any repentance)
Some of them would still argue, "We have NEVER said that since Abraham lied, so can I. Please don't falsely accuse us for preaching license to sin. We have only said that since Abraham lied and still could become the righteousness of God, we can be righteous too. Since David committed adulteries and still could find favour with God, we can find favour too. Since God would forgive all the sinners, God would forgive us too. We did not say that we can sin like them.. You've misunderstood us."
I will tell them, Since we can misunderstand you, so can the sinners, the believers, and the unrepentant 'Pharisees' too. Do you know why Jesus and His disciples would PREACH repentance clearly (without assuming that people would repent automatically) ? It's because they knew that if they preached only grace, they would be misunderstood. Grace without preaching of repentance could be misunderstood as license to sin. That's why we must PREACH repentance. Have you obeyed the Lord's command:
  • Luk 24:45-48 KJV  Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,  (46)  And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:  (47)  And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.  (48)  And ye are witnesses of these things.
  • Act 17:30 KJV  And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
  • Act 26:19-20 KJV  Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:  (20)  But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
If you read Act 26:20 above again, you should know that God did not tell us to do the works of the law, but He has commanded us to do the works worthy of repentance. What is the works worthy of repentance ?
  • 1Jn 3:13-22 KJV  .. (15)  Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.  (16)  Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  (17)  But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?  (18)  My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. ..  (21)  Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. (22)  And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
Those are the works worthy of repentance. Please don't confuse the people and preach the works of repentance as the works of the law or the works of the Pharisees, the works of Moses' law, Old Covenant, Old Testament rituals, and circumcision. On the contrary, they are the works of the new believers. They are the works of God's law in the New Covenant under grace. Beloved, if we do God's law, who can condemn us (v21) ?

Many people think that radical grace preachers are wonderful preachers who preach grace. However, if they flip over the titles of the radical grace preachers and look behind the titles, they would realise that many of them are actually radical preachers who preach against the laws of God, the commandments, and the repentance message of Jesus Christ.

Radical grace preachers could have transformed themselves into prosperity preachers or anti-repentance preachers
When a preacher would always preach that his gospel is 'too good to be true' and that nobody would be saved or changed if the gospel of Jesus Christ is not preached like his, he is actually showing to us that he would finally become a prosperity preacher or anti-repentance preacher. Why? Please think, When he must preach the gospel to be 'too good to be true':
  1. He has confessed that nobody want to listen to the repentance gospel because repentance is not too good to be true. Hence, he would not preach repentance but another gospel to attract more people to 'repent' and to be 'saved'. But we know that when he has to preach it to be 'too good to be true', his repentance would be preached as 'too good to be true' too. However, he has not preached true repentance; he has preached 'anti'-repentance.
  2. He has confessed that he would have to preach something that will make it too good to be true. Please think, What is the main thing that will make it too good to be true to most of the people of the world ? Of course, he will preach it with prosperity, money, gold, cancellation of financial debt, or the health and wealth fantasies..  But please think, If the focus of the gospel is all about health and wealth, is it in the Lord's preaching and teaching? No, the Lord had never preached about it. If the focus of the gospel is wrong, it is not the gospel of Jesus Christ.
 However, Please check our Bible,
  1. There is only one Bible verse on the word 'prosper' in the New Covenant.
  2. We may find many accounts of miracles and healing in the gospel. But if we read all the teaching of the Lord and the Apostles, we would notice that the Lord and Apostles had never emphasized on the principles of health and wealth.
  3. That's why the prosperity preachers would have to go back to the Old Testament to find most of the Bible verses they need; like the blessings and inheritance of Abraham or the gold and riches of kings Solomon. But we know that the Pharisees could have preached all these - their prosperity teachings were 'old wine'.
  4. When Jesus appeared, He preached something totally contrary to what the Pharisees had preached: Mat 6:28-34 KJV  And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:  (29)  And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.  .. (32)  (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.  (33) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  (34)  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. When the people first heard about the Lord's preaching, I believe they were all stunned. They had never listened to someone like Jesus before, as they were mostly under the teaching of the Pharisees. Hence, Jesus teaching was the new wine which had stunned the Jews; it would also shock most of the people or Gentiles today too. But the prosperity preachers have diluted it with their own prosperity teaching which is very similar to the Pharisee's. If they are not similar, their prosperity teaching would still focus on the same thing - prosperity and riches.

In the end time, most radical grace preachers will not preach grace. Instead, they will preach Old Testament 'favour' ('prosperity', 'effortless success', 'tares', or something that resembles grace under the New Testament), and then they will 'ding dong' in between 'favour' and grace. They will not preach God's laws and commandments but they will 'ding dong' in between their principles and God's principles. They may preach repentance, but with no more fruits of repentance or turning from sins, and then they will 'ding dong' in between changing your minds and believing only. They say that it is right believing, but it is a type of 'believing' or 'confession' which no longer doth the words of the Lord, the will of the Father, and the commandments of God:
  • Mat 7:15-24 KJV  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.  (16)  Ye shall know them by their fruits .. (20)  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.  (21)  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  (22)  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  (23)  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.  (24)  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
  • Jas 2:19 KJV  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
They claim that they stammered before God but they may have soft and smooth tongues like the frogs:
  • Rev 16:13-16 KJV And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. (14) For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. (15) Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. (16) And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

  1. Suppose you are a sinner and hate the sin you are held captive in, yet you know no way to be freed. Then Christ Jesus approaches and says these words to you, " I can save you from the burden you are carrying, only believe this, ' I have the POWER to free you from all your sins(past, present and future) forever, so lean on me.' Won't you feel relieved and follow him every where he went? So that you may remain in the POWER that renders sin powerless in your presence BECAUSE YOU ARE IN HIS PRESENCE? remember Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever more..... AMEN! Those who do are held captive by what they do. Those who follow Jesus, become friends{brothers} with him.

    1. Hi james godfrey Oduor, Jesus would always forgive us if we come to Him and repent (1 John 1:9, Luk 5:32, Luk 19:9). I feel that that this is good enough for me.
