Psa 37:23, 31 KJV (23) The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.. (31) The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
If the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, then the steps of a false prophet are ordered by someone else or something else. Could it be Satan or lawlessness ?
Before we explore on What are the steps of a false prophet, let us find out, What will a false prophet do ? Does a false prophet always kill, steal, or rob ? No. He may be very well behaved like any of us or be as good as anyone. That's why it is not easy to discern a false prophet. Radical grace preachers would insist that false prophets must be religious leaders from other religions. I will tell them, If we listen to you, we will never discern any false prophets who twist the Bible. We would be as blind as your followers. Of course, false prophets are not limited to people who kill, steal, rob, or come from other religions; they could come from our own religion and preach from the Bible too. It is not necessary for them to live in obvious sins, sacrifice babies, don a mysterious black robe, and speak in a low monotonous voice to become a false prophet. A false prophet could be simply anyone who would just do a few or more of the followings:
- he would twist the Bible 'artistically'
- he would make God's word of none effect
- he would employ certain tricks to show people that he is more anointed
- he would confess righteousness when he knows that he is not that righteous
- he would not preach or read God's commandments or warnings
- he is more concerned with those who will sin wilfully than those who will repent
- he will give people the false impression that God's commandments, warnings, and repentance message will remind them of 'sins conscience'
- he will give people the false impression that they must listen to him to feel less condemned
- he would preach radical favours to call sinners to prosperity; not to repentance
- he cooks 'porridge'
- he could be a great supplier of both 'cheap' and 'expensive' milk
- he has no repentance doctrine or the correct first principles of God - even the 'milk' that he supplies cannot save
- he would preach oxymoron like an expert
- he has bitterness against the churches
- he could be the fulfilled son of perdition or the mystery of lawlessness
- he could have fallen miserably and disobeyed God's commandments in total denial
- he would become a 'golden calf' to those who would still live with carnal desires to exalt selves; but refuse to die to selves
- he will preach deceitfulness of riches
- he will preach the old wine's prosperity but label it as his new wine's health and wealth gospel
- he will aspire not only to be a king or prince; he will extend his ambition to become like gods or God
- he thinks that he is answerable only to God
- he thinks that it is none of our business
- he would insist on a tithing principle, first fruit principle, religious tax principle, or any 'hard' giving principle which is no longer practical in our secular or Gentile nation
- he would manipulate tithes and giving of the people to promote himself
- he inspires fear by saying that whoever against him is against God or against the gospel
- he thinks that he is infallible
- he has disobeyed the Lord by changing His words
- he knows men's psychologies and desires
- he can never preach God's commandments with conviction or good conscience
- he is a great boaster
- he will attempt to open the 'latent power' of your soul
- he will always say, "I am not God, I am just a messenger. But people would keep misunderstanding me or my message.. What can I do ?"
- he will say, "That's why you cannot prosper, because you do not believe according to my teaching.."
1. he would twist the Bible 'artistically', especially the words concerning God's commandments and repentance, and convince the people that he is from God. This is the strongest evidence against any false prophets. Have you found anyone who has done it ? You may find them if you know how they have used the following trick as their 'bestseller' to draw more people or to create their radical revolution. They will first quote the following Bible verses:
Mar 12:29-31 KJV And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: (30) And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. (31) And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. They will then tell you, "Do you know what was the first commandment ? Wasn't it to worship thy Lord with all your hearts .. But, since Jesus has changed the word 'worship' the Lord thy God in the commandment to 'love' the Lord thy God in Mar 12-29-31 above, therefore the ten commandments are no longer of any effect for us .. we are not commanded to worship the Lord any more .. but to love the Lord only .. We no longer have the ten commandment to worship, to obey, to keep the moral side of the law... we only love.. We don't worship God, we love God ! We don't repent, we believe ! We don't pray, we just confess. We don't feel sinful, we feel sinless ! We are not the sinners, we are the little gods .. We prosper .. we have true grace .. we are more favoured .. we are more radically blessed .. we are .."
I will tell them, Please stop. The more we listen to you, the more we will be confused. You said, we don't worship God any more, we just love God ? We don't do anything, we just love? Do you know what is love or how to love? Obviously, you don't know how to love God although you insist that you love God. If you know how to love God, you won't say that to love God will not need to worship God. Similarly to love other does not mean just to love and do nothing either !
Luk 10:29-37 KJV But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? ... (36) Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? (37) And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
2. he would make God's word of none effect
I am not surprised if the non-believers or those who never read the Bible would believe the above type of radical (or ridiculous) logic. However, if believers or preachers would just accept and think that that is Bible logic, I would question them, Do you know why Jesus said that the Pharisees had made God's commandments or God's word of none effect ?
Mat 15:6 KJV And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
Mar 7:13 KJV Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
They have made the word and commandment of God of none effect because they can 'love' God; but they cannot simply obey God ! They can boast of their love for God or God's love for them; but they cannot repent like any other sinners.
Luk 18:10-14 KJV Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. (11) The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. (12) I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. (13) And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. (14) I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. They have made the word and commandment of God of none effect because they can 'love' God; but they cannot simply obey God ! They can boast of their love for God or God's love for them; but they cannot repent like any other sinners.
3. he would employ certain tricks to show people that he is more anointed
Of course, he would do better if he could convince you that his anointing will give you the power to create wealth and help you to prosper more. We all have heard about the preaching of prosperity, especially the Bible theory on the transfer of wealth. To make sure that the people are more convinced about his anointing or capability to prosper you with his preaching, of course, he will preach that you can be more blessed, more prosperous, and more anointed than others.Rev 13:13-17 KJV And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, (14) And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. (15) And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. (16) And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: (17) And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
(From the account above, we know that the image of the beast could speak because it could be a video on the face of a certain false prophet that looks like a giant talking beast. The beast or the spirit of the beast behind it could be Satan who was wounded by the Lord when He was crucified on cross. It is no secret that 'preachers' nowadays can also call down 'holy fire' from heaven to zap their believers. It is also no secret that controlling the mind of people with false doctrine or lawless ideology is more effective than putting a micro chip in their brain. The only thing which I cannot interpret from the Bible passage above is: how will the beast 'kill' all those who disagree with his doctrine? perhaps in the cyber realm?)
Now, of course, there are many ways to impress you that he is more anointed. But the following would create a long lasting effect on the minds of his believers and the ignorant for decades even if he had just used it once:
He would first preach two different Bible messages; one on the transfer of wealth (recovery of the economy), the other on the crash of the world economy and show himself giving certain kind of prophecies. These two messages were recorded and safely kept somewhere. When there are some happenings or financial disasters, he will just flash out certain clips of these videos to show that he had prophesied certain things correctly. When these videos are played at the end of the service or before giving his transfer of wealth benediction, many people would be so mesmerised that they would give anything or any amount in order to be blessed.
4. he would confess righteousness when he knows that he is not that righteous
The reason he has to preach righteousness radically because he needs to sooth his own conscience and the conscience of others who knew the truth about themselves when the Holy Spirit had spoken to them about their 'condition' .., probably they have lied too much, exaggerated their Old Testament fantasies too much, lived in vanity too much, boasted too much, consumed the good things of life too much, lived licentiously too much, twisted the Bible truth too much, ... etc.
Jer 17:9-11 KJV The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (10) I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. (11) As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.Hence, they are in desperate need for peace within their hearts, because
- they have not repented
- they have not followed any of the Lord's teaching.
- they have twisted the Lord's teaching
- they want to prosper more with the same carnal desires
5. he would not preach or read God's commandments or warnings (like Jer 17:9-11, Mar 4:19, Mat 25, 2Pe 2:17, Jud 1:12 .. )
He would not encourage his followers to read any God's commandments and warnings too. The reason is very simple. Those words would remind them of their sins or sins conscience. The more they read about God's commandments and warnings, the more they will feel convicted or condemned. Hence, the best way to convince (and deceive) themselves that they are still the righteousness of God, is to read only the positive words, and then cover, mask, or twist, the commandment of God. If this cannot work, they would psycho themselves to think that God's commandments has no commands, no obedience, no instructions, no demands, no requirement, and no judgement. They would tell you that they would still believe in God's commandments but it is the type of commandments which command you to be blessed, to be successful, to prosper, to rest, and to change your mind only. Hence, they would only believe in God's commandment which command you to love and to be loved by God; but no more commandments to obey God, to live godly lives, to be humble, to repent, to confess sins, to do recompense, to obey the ten commandments, to do good to your neighbours, or to do the moral side of God's laws ..
6. he is more concerned with those who will sin wilfully than those who will repent
You will never find him preach much about God's commandments, warnings, and repentance because he is really afraid of them. Those words of God would condemn him. Hence, he would just say that those warnings or commandments can never apply to him or to his followers, especially the following Bible verses:
- Heb 6:4-6 KJV For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, (5) And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, (6) If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
- Heb 10:26-29 KJV For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, (27) But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. (28) He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: (29) Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
7. he will give people the false impression that God's commandments, warnings, and repentance message will remind them of 'sins conscience'
Of course, he would not give you the false impression directly. But his boasting that his preaching, with no God's commandments, no warnings, no repentance, and no discipleship, is much better than others has shown his intention and motives. I do not have to argue about it here. Please think, If the preaching of God's commandments, God's warnings, or God's repentance message will cause sins conscience, do you think we can still preach them ? Of course, if this is true, something is wrong with God's commandments, God's warnings, or the Lord's repentance message. Hence, I would think that God's words, commandments, or repentance message would never cause sins conscience to sin; but it may cause sins conscience to repent. Of course, God's words will never contradict itself. It will never bring people to the sins conscience that is mentioned in the following Bible verse:
Heb 10:2 KJV For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
8. he will give people the false impression that they must listen to him to feel less condemned
Of course, if he could convince you that God's commandments, warnings, and repentance are no longer for you, he would come up with something else which has no commandments, no warnings, no repentance, and no judgement. But please think, Who would love this type of gospel ? Of course, the sinners.. but the unrepentant sinners. Why ? Do you agree that, the more you have sinned, the more you will need to listen to him, the more you will think that you have received grace ? but actually you may not have repented yet ? You may think that you have radical grace; but without radical repentance, you may not have repented yet.
Luk 7:44-48 KJV And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. (45) Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. (46) My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. (47) Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. (48) And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
The woman had received much grace (or radical grace, if you insist) because she had sinned much and KNOWN that she had much sins. Hence, she could have repented much and she loved the Lord much. She knew that Jesus preached repentance and would forgive and love those who listened to His words and repented. Luk 5:31-32 KJV And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. (32) I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
9. he would preach radical favours to call sinners to prosperity; not to repentance
Hence, if we know the Lord's teaching, we would know that people who believe in radical grace would not just repent like the Jews; but they would repent radically like the woman above. However, when we know that radical grace preachers have preached a radical grace which is just radical favour from God to prosper them even if they do not repent radically, do not do good, and do not recompense those whom they have offended or do anything, we know that this is not the radical grace the Lord or Paul had preached. Yes, it is radical grace in the sense that it could be unearned, undeserved, and unmerited favours to some unscrupulous sinners who may have become richer, become billionaires, and expanded their businesses but it is still the worldly riches without repentance and God. The only difference is that they could now continue to cheat, steal, and 'kill' with a 'better' conscience which can be maintained by listening to more radical grace preaching (or preaching which has no more laws, no more commandments, no more repentance, no more God's warnings, and no more God's judgement) ! They would rush to you, write to your churches, and praise God everyday, "Hallelujah !"
Churches, Please think, Why do we still keep God's commandments? Why did Jesus tell the devil that it is written .. , it is written .. , it is written .. in Matt 4:4-11 ? It is because the devil had kept telling man and probably the Lord that there was no more law, no more commandment, and no more command from God. Hence, when Jesus said, "It is written" three times, He was telling the devil assuredly that there was law, there was commandment, and there was still God's command for man, Mat 4:4 KJV But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God... (10) .. Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

10. he cooks 'porridge'
You should not feel offended if you think that all pastors are great 'cooks'. Of course, if God's preachers were great cooks, then false preachers would cook 'porridge' for their weak followers. They would always brew 'soft and positive words' which would never present the solid and hard truth to the people. You can never find any God's commandments, warnings, and repentance in their messages. They may claim that their teaching are solid food but you know that it is 100% milk even though they keep insisting that they are preaching solid foundation:
1Co 3:1-3 KJV And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. (2) I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. (3) For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?Heb 5:12-14 KJV For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. (13) For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. (14) But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
I will tell them, Please don't deceive the people. Those who have solid foundation or who live like the solid rock are not those who keep feeding on the milk; they are those who practise and do the word. The more we do the word, the more solid we would become. Do you still want to argue and twist the teaching of the Lord?
Mat 7:20-24 KJV Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? (23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (24) Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: Luk 6:46-48 KJV And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? (47) Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: (48) He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood (false doctrine) arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. (Hence, Jesus said clearly that He would not just want us to have right believing, right faith, right miracles, right preaching, or right confession only; he wants us to have right doing with His words too, because right doing would prove that we are His true disciples on the rock of salvation.)
11. he could be a great supplier of both 'cheap' and 'expensive' milk
I will tell the preachers or prophets who always boast about their milk to their followers (or babies), If you feed milk to your babies, do you keep telling them that it is solid food ? No, they won't understand you whether you tell them that it is solid food or milk. They are entirely at your mercy to drink whatever you give to them even if it is milk contaminated with melamine which would retard their growth. If you are a good parent (or a pastor), you will improve and increase their diet slowly, add more solid food to their diet, and help them to grow faster. However, if you are a evil foster father or false prophet, you would not want your 'babies' to grow. You would only give them milk - cheap 'melamine' milk or 100% expensive milk, so that they will forever rely on your kind of 'milk'. Yes, you may claim that you can supply 100% pure and expensive milk, but it may not be 100% God's grace or God's doctrine; it could be 100% tares or man made doctrines which would yield only costly consequences. I suggest that those who are still buying 'milk' or 'milk bottles' from their utube, fazebook, blog, or cybershop,
12. he has no repentance doctrine or the correct first principles of God - even the 'milk' that he supplies cannot save I know that many of you may not understand what I mean here if you are still holding up your 'milk bottles' right now, and drinking the 'milk' from them. Please throw them away immediately. You can still get free supply at no cost by checking on your own Bible.
Rev 3:17-19 KJV Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: (18) I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. (19) As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Of course, the gold mentioned above is not the real gold or prosperity. It is the type of gold which is in our heart and should never be compared to the gold or prosperity of the world.
Heb 5:12 KJV (5) For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat ... 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, (2) Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. (3) And this will we do, if God permit. (4) For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Do you know that all the highlighted words above are the first principles or doctrine of Christ for salvation ? Although they are considered as the basics or the fundamentals, they are of utmost importance for our individual's salvation, including our personal understanding of the principle of grace. Hence, how can we leave these first principles and feed on something more solid if we still do not know them well yet? I suggest that we should still drink milk first while grace is still found. But, we should first find out if the milk we are drinking from is from God or from the false prophets? No point leaving the first principles by pretending to be an adult or arguing with everybody, while we are still not very sure about our own foundation of salvation and the first principles of the doctrine of Christ.

13. he would preach oxymoron like an expert
He could be an extremely imaginative person with God's words and biblical terms but his imagination could be all from his own human philosophies, exaggerations, speculations, or lies. Many of us may not know why a false prophet would love to preach oxymoron:- Obviously they love to argue and preach oxymoron not because they love God's laws, love doing good, and love to be religious; but because they love to boast. They know that only through preaching oxymoron and controversial philosophies, can they drag more people 'on their nose' and show off that they have more wisdom or anointing than the traditional preachers.
- The other reason why a false prophet would love to preach oxymoron is because people cannot easily identify his motives and expose him. He will twist and turn in between strange and radical doctrines to finally come back to God's doctrine and claim that he has only preached God's commandments and repentance doctrine.
- grace is always associated with unearned, undeserved, and unmerited God's favour for sinners who would repent;
- but now it has been become 'radical' grace which prospers, gives 'effortless' success, and ensure riches and luxurious lives;
- whilst repentance has become an automatic sinners experience to 'believe only'? So, most of the sinners today receive grace because they believe only and can prosper more? Is this a great revolution or great revival? No, this is clearly a great oxymoron !
Wake up, please ! False prophets could preach the Bible with 'blind' accuracy; it is oxymoron or 'blind'-truth which will blind your eyes and make you sleep on all God's truth, God's words, God's warnings, and God's commandments. They could preach tares skilfully and subtly while your mind is asleep:
Mat 13:24-25 KJV Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: (25) But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
It is extremely difficult to 'nail' a snake which is slippery. Hence, I would think that a false prophet is not really a false prophet if he has no ability to evade, camouflage, and cover his 'tracks' supernaturally. That's why we should not look at all the obvious signs which 'shout' to us that he is a false prophet. That's why I will not read any website which says so and so is a con man or so and so is a gay preacher. I am sure a false prophet will never do all these thing to show you that he is a false prophet. It is difficult for me to tell explain all his 'tricks' but I would briefly mention one of the most effective strategies he would use frequently. He would intially preach something very ordinary, very Biblical, very godly, or very traditional first. And then slowly and subtly, he will twist and turn using his own exaggeration to change your normal thinking based on God's words. By now, you should know some of the strategies he has used. For example, he could start off by telling you that it is good to be humble and to repent from sins. But at the end of his sermon, you may realise (or may not even realise) that he has actually told you not to repent. I must take my hat off and say with admiration that not many preachers have this talent or gift. If he could do this, I don't think he would feel ashamed to to be called or to be awarded the title of 'a great prophet" - well, like what he has preached, that was the first part of his award, the ending part of the award to him is - a great prophet in oxymoron !
Gal 6:5-8 KJV For every man shall bear his own burden. (6) Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. (7) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. (8) For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
False prophets may try to impress the people to think that they are preaching sound doctrine. But it would be a great challenge for them to do it. Imagine, how can a false prophet teaches you sound doctrine or God's commandments when he has been so used to boasting, radical grace preaching, vain imagination, twisting of the Hebrew or Greek language, new age theories, extreme typologies, and exaggeration of all kinds from the Old Testament or old wine illustrations ?

14. he has bitterness against the churches
Of course, a false prophet will never admit that he has bitterness. If he admits it, he would not be called a 'false' prophet; he would be just a 'evil' prophet. Hence, again we know that if it is difficult to discern a false prophet who always tell you that he is from God and he has only positive words for you, how are we going to discern them. One of the way is to check on his background. If we are resourceful, we would not be surprised to find out that he could have left a certain church or churches with bitterness. If I can guess correctly, he could have some kinds of history with some churches who preach repentance and God's commandments. He could have been asked to leave the church and then founded his own church while he was still in the midst of bitterness. Although the bitterness has been healed or forgotten, it could have knowingly or unknowingly seep into the way he build his doctrine. I can understand how difficult it is to do something for God without being affected emotionally by it. However, as God's preachers, we have no excuse if we still want to pollute God's doctrine in order to get back at the church or churches who preach God's doctrine.
Act 8:21-25 KJV Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. (22) Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. (23) For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity. (24) Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me. (25) And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.
2Th 2:3-7 KJV Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; (4) Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. (5) Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? (6) And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. (7) For the mystery of iniquity (meaning - lawlessness) doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
Mat 24:24-25 KJV For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (25) Behold, I have told you before.
Do you find any similarities between the Lord's warning and Paul's warning above? Both of them are reminders. It means that the Lord would want Paul and all God's preachers to repeat, remind, and give enough (clear) warnings to His people according to the Lord's commandments.
King Saul was one classic example when he fell from being a humble young guy (who was near to perfection even in the discerning eyes of prophet Samuel) to being a hypocritical and wicked king who believed in sorcery later.
1Sa 9:2 KJV And he had a son, whose name was Saul, a choice young man, and a goodly: and there was not among the children of Israel a goodlier person than he: from his shoulders and upward he was higher than any of the people.
1Sa 9:21-22 KJV And Saul answered and said, Am not I a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? wherefore then speakest thou so to me? (22) And Samuel took Saul and his servant, and brought them into the parlour, and made them sit in the chiefest place among them that were bidden, which were about thirty persons.
But many preachers today who always boast that, they could only fall like king David and would never fall like king Saul, may have actually fallen miserably like king Saul. They may think that they are still very righteous and obedient. But they could have actually lost all their spiritual sense of knowing God's words and commandments, unlike the time when they were like king Saul in his younger days.
1Sa 15:20-26 KJV And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites... (22) And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. (23) For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. (24) And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice. (25) Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD. (26) And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.
Obviously king Saul had sinned against God and fell miserably but he would still think that he had obeyed God until Samuel spoke harshly to him. I hope we don't have to wait until we have fallen like king Saul and would admit to repent only when God speaks harshly to us. Hence, please repent before we lost all our spiritual sense of God's words and commandments. However, when God's prophets try to correct us or tell us something harshly, will we argue and say that God's prophets can only speak nice words and gracious words and that they cannot correct us? If we hear false prophets always defend themselves, refuse to listen to correction, and only want to hear the words they like, we know that they are worse than king Saul. Even a horrible person like king Saul would still admit sins.
Exo 20:22-23 KJV And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven. (23) Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.
Exo 32:31 KJV And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.
Dan 5:4-5 KJV They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone. (5) In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.
Mat 13:22 KJV He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
He would argue, "But I preach Jesus only. I have preached the name of Jesus more than any other preachers. I am a preacher of grace not a preacher of health and wealth. I am 100% like Jesus, as He is so am I. As Jesus is righteous, so am I. As Jesus is sinless, so am I. As Jesus is infallible and can never preach anything wrongly, so am I. As Jesus is prosperity, so am I. As Jesus can never be a false prophet, so am I, As .. so am I, ... so am I .."
I will tell him, This is only what you think. Please read all the Bible verses which says, "As He is, so am I". It is mainly referring to As Jesus is obedience to God's commandments, so are we !
1Jn 4:16-21 KJV .. (17) Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. .. (20) If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? (21) And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
Even from what you said above, I can tell, you have preached oxymoron. How can you claim that you are not a prosperity preacher when you said that Jesus is your prosperity or when you gives people the impression that He is your god of prosperity, god of gold, or god of riches. Many people may be deceived when you keep arguing that you preach Jesus only. However, we know that you preach oxymoron.
Initially we may find it difficult to know who have preached oxymoron intentionally or unintentionally. But now we are convinced that false prophets would love preaching oxymoron but hate preaching God's commandments. Why? It is because oxymoron can give them the liberty to preach whatever they love without focus, without order, or without God's laws; but God's commandments is very clear. It could be too rigid and too difficult for them to manipulate or 'bend' any God's commandments to their advantage without being detected. Hence, they would find it uninteresting and unexciting to preach a gospel which is full of God's truth, God's commandments, God's warnings, and repentance of the hearts.
3Jn 1:2-4 KJV Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. (3) For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. (4) I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
Obviously John's focus or priority is to walk in truth and love. But we think that it would always include material wealth and prosperity, probably after the false prophets have deceived us to extend our imagination to include everything that we can desire according to our flesh. Please be honest, Can you call the gospel of Jesus Christ the gospel of prosperity when the whole gospel or the New Testament has only that one Bible verse on 'prosper', and when Jesus has never preached anything about prosperity? No wonder, most false prophets would have go back to the Old Testament to 'dig out' all the Pharisees old arguments on how to prosper, get rich, and pursue Abraham's blessings and Solomon's gold. Don't we know that the Pharisees would like to get rich too ? They could have given a more exciting sermon and preaching on Abraham's inheritance and Solomon's gold to the people too; but their gospel is still the old wine.
Mat 3:7-9 KJV But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? (8) Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: (9) And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
Joh 8:39 KJV They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
Luk 12:15-21 KJV And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. (16) And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: (17) And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? (18) And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. (19) And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. (20) But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? (21) So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
Many preachers think that the above parable is only applicable to the non-believers or the Jews. But did Jesus say that? No, this parable is a warning which is more applicable to us than to the non-believers who would never believe in any God's commandments or warnings. We can tell, There are already many false prophets who have the similar thinking like the rich man above.
Luk 18:11-12 KJV The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. (12) I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
Was the Pharisee above 'condemned' by the Lord because of his love or obedience to the law and commandments of God? No, he was condemned because of his lack of love and humility when compared with the publican:
Luk 18:13-14 KJV And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. (14) I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
I will tell them, Ok, yes, I may be jealous. Paul was jealous too.
2Co 11:2-6 KJV For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. (3) But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. (4) For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. (5) For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles. (6) But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.
Hence, not everyone who speaks out of jealousy is trying to harm you or rob you. Before you said that I have misunderstood the false prophets or that it is none of my business, please don't make presumption. Do you know that I could have wife, daughters, children, grandchildren, or relatives who gave to the false prophets? I could be the family's main breadwinner and they use my money to prosper the false prophets? I don't think this is acceptable to those who could be in my situation too. Do you know how Abraham would pursue to the end to save his nephew Lot when he knew that Lot fell into the hands of the enemies?
Gen 14:12-16 KJV And they took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed. .. (14) And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan. (15) And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus. (16) And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
Hence, a false prophet's business is our 'business' and God's 'business'. He can make business somewhere else; but provided he does not preach from the Bible or from God's words. Have you read the church history? Paul, the Apostles, and the Jews had stopped giving tithes to the Pharisees. Instead they gave to the church not according to the tithing requirement but according to the genuine needs of everyone in the church. That's why I can challenge anyone to look for the teaching of tithing by Paul or by the Apostles in the New Testament. I know that you can never find it. They had elected to give by the principle of free giving according to the needs of the people (of course not according to the needs of prospering their preachers or their luxurious needs).
Act 2:44-46 KJV And all that believed were together, and had all things common; (45) And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. (46) And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
When every need has been met, do you think that they would still give blindly to prosper only a small group of people, the caretakers, the building committees, the bank accounts holders, the property funds investor, the investment funds committees, .. or whatever fund which will hoard the funds for some greedy people to use it in the future. No, if our giving today is not 'needs' based or 'people' based, we could have managed our funds like the Pharisees. If my tithes and offerings are just to finance a certain category of people who would like to boast and live in luxurious lifestyles, why should I continue to finance them. I might as well give to the poor who cannot repay me..
Mat 5:46-48 KJV For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? (47) And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? (48) Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
23. He would insist on a tithing principle, first fruit principle, religious tax principle, or any 'hard' giving principle which is no longer practical in our secular or Gentile nations
Please do not misunderstand me. I have no intention to 'kill' the law of tithing or argue with those who believe in the law of tithing. I know that the law of tithing is a good principle of giving. Imagine, If you were a country with a total population of only 2 people, how will you make sure that the church or the temple of God can be taken care of? Of course, this is only a hypothetical example when you will assign 1 person to take care of God's temple and half of the salary of the other person to support the first person. This principle will still look good when your country has only 10 people and you assign 1 person to do the job by paying him with 1/10 of the salaries from the other 9 people. However, if you are a country with 10 million people, will you 'tax' on 9 million of the people to give 1/10 of their salaries to you? This is crazy ! Why do I say that ? It's because you may not have 1/10 (or 1 million) of the population as pastors or full time workers, and you dare to collect 1/10 of the salaries from all the 9 million people?
Do we know why Jesus would not commend on the Pharisee who prayed thus:
Luk 18:12 KJV I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
It's because the Pharisee above was still living in his old world when the Romans had already taken over as the new government. The Pharisees were no longer the religious government who would take care of the whole country, to build roads and amenities, and to help the poor as compared with the time when they had kings to rule over them. Please think, Can you imagine how much the poor and the widows had to suffer when the Jews had to pay both taxes and tithes to the Romans and to the Pharisees? Of course, the Pharisees would boast about their tithes. It's because when they tithed, they were actually paying tithes into their own pockets or treasuries. They knew that they had nothing to lose in the long run when they were in charge of all the finance of the temples and their 'religious businesses'. They could have practised many hidden 'religious money laundering' in their temple activities too. That's why Jesus called them, 'Snakes and vipers'. Jesus did not only know their wicked hearts; He knew their wicked businesses, when they were carried out 'legally' and 'religiously' in the temple of God too:
Mat 23:33 KJV Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
Mat 21:12-13 KJV And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, (13) And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Mat 6:1 KJV Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
Mat 23:12-23 KJV And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. (23) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
It is no secret that anyone or organisation today can write a cheque of a million dollar or any fictitious amount to pay to himself 'legally' as long as there is enough funds in the banks. Nobody can sue you for doing legitimate bank transfers. Hence, similarly the temple, the Pharisees, the church, or any big organisation today, can write any exorbitant cheque amount or salary amount to pay their own pastors, Pharisees, or preachers, so that they can pay it back to their own treasury too. This would fool the people that they were super generous with their tithes and giving, and would greatly promote themselves in the religious circle. But I would say that this is super hypocrisy in 'religious money laundering'. I know that it is difficult for the outsiders like us to verify and expose their hypocritical banking practices. I could only hope that no religious organisation will behave hypocritically like them.
Php 2:5-8 KJV Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: (6) Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: (7) But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: (8) And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Hence, obviously Jesus had not thought himself to be equal with God although He is God. On the other hand, Satan who is not God would want to think that he is God:
Isa 14:12-15 KJV How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! (13) For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: (14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. (15) Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
Can you see the main difference between a disciple of Christ that is filled with the mind of Christ and a false prophet that is filled with the mind of Satan ? By the way, did you count the number of times he boasted 'I will' ? Yes, five is the number of grace, but when it is used by Satan or false prophet, it can become the number of 'disgrace'. Hence, who can say that no one can abuse God's grace? If Satan or false prophet can abuse the number of grace, they can also abuse grace or abuse the gospel of Christ !
I will tell him, Yes, it is true that no one can correct you. If you think so highly of yourself, even God cannot correct you too. He will argue, "No, if He is really God, He will be able to correct me; otherwise he is not God.." I will tell him, There are many things God can do. But one of the many things He will not do is to force His way to take over your will to listen to Him, to worship Him, or to love Him; otherwise, you are just His robot. Hence, the 'God' that you have believed in is not our God. He is just your 'God' who would like to take over your will and control you like a robot but you have fallen out of the fellowship of the true God of this universe. However, the true God would still allow you to chose your own 'God' to control yourself; but we all know that that 'God' you have chosen is not a true God. You have actually chosen yourself as that 'God', to deceive yourself that you do have a God and worship God.
Now back to your previous argument when you said that you are under grace. But when the Bible says that we are under grace, it does not say that we are infallible or God's Spirit can never leave us.
Joh 15:1-10 KJV .. (2) Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit .. (6) If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. (10) If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
Please think, If there is no possibility that any sinner, any believer, or any false prophet, would leave the Lord or reject His commandments after following Him, why would the Lord give us these warnings with the word 'If' to show the possibility of people who would not abide with Him or keep His commandments but will leave Him in the end? Obviously you have not lived under the Old Testament, neither are you living under the New Testament; you are living under your 'Own Testament'. You are living in your own world.
Luk 16:15-17 KJV And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. (16) The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. (17) And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
You may think that you are under grace but Paul said, by the grace of God, that you should never think highly of yourself:
Rom 12:2-3 KJV And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (3) For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Hence, when you speak highly of yourselves, you are not under grace, you are under disgrace.
Mat 6:32-33 KJV (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. (33) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.Just trust God that He will prosper us without us desperately seeking for it like the Gentiles; otherwise, we may fall easily into the trap of the Pharisees or the false prophets who already know how to make use of men's psychologies, greediness, religion, 'Corban' (Mark 7:11-lawlessness), and lies, to enrich themselves:
Luk 16:13-14 KJV No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (14) And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
Mar 7:11-13 KJV But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free. (12) And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; (13) Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
I will tell them, I have written my thoughts on Paul's boasting. Please read Paul's words again in my previous post. If you still think that Paul would like you to boast, please let me know.
You said that as long as you always boast in the Lord, you can never be wrong? I don't know how many people have been deceived by this teaching. It's because every false prophet would have told you that they could boast in the Lord or boast in God too.
Luk 18:11-12 KJV The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. (12) I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess ...
Did you see how the Pharisee had boasted in God ? Today we may see many preachers boast in their churches or in the Lord too. But is there a difference in their boastings? No. You may think that the Pharisee had boasted in the law; but the preachers today have boasted in the Lord or in grace. But to me, They are equally boastful people. They both share in the same love to boast and exalt selves.
You said that John was a great boaster because he wrote the book of Revelation and 'showed off' to us many things. Yes, John could be a great boaster too but he has changed. He would no longer boast because he was rebuked and learned his lesson from the Lord. Have you?
Mar 10:37-39 KJV They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory. .. (39) And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized: (40) But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared. (41) And when the ten heard it, they began to be much displeased with James and John. (42) But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them. (43) But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: (44) And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. (45) For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
If you think that John, or anyone who wrote God's warning, God's commandments, or something about the future, is boasting or is a great boaster, you need to repent. I don't know how to correct your thinking. May God help you to see that I am not boasting too when I write God's warnings, God's commandments, .. or tell you something concerning the future..
You shall know them by their fruits (Mat 7:16, 20)
After they have preached all the above, would they become God's preachers again if they switch back to the Lord's teaching and quote from the following Bible verses?
Mat 6:33-34 KJV But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (34) Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
No, they have simply become oxymoron preachers by pretence and evasive preaching. Hence, beware of them, for you may never know when they will lead you into the deceitfulness of riches again with their hidden philosophies and new age prosperity theories. Jesus told us to discern them by their fruits in Mat 7:15-16,20. But some preachers would argue that we should discern them by their crime records, by their sins, by their adulteries, by their hypocrisy, by their law conscience, or by their misbehaviours.. but if we need to see all these to know that they are false prophets, it could be too late for us. We could have sunk deep into their perverse doctrine and found it difficult for ourselves to pull away from it. Hence, I would advise that the fastest way, to detect them before it is too late, is to check and examine the 'fruits' of their thoughts first and question them (or ourselves) what they really mean. I hope this will help.

15. he could be the fulfilled son of perdition or the mystery of lawlessness
If bitterness could enter into the heart of Simon, a baptised believer, who had seen the power of the Holy Spirit, believed, had enough faith to 'prosper' himself with the gift of God, taken Holy Communion, prayed with other believers, and joined the church in most of their activities, it should be a great warning to us.2Th 2:3-7 KJV Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; (4) Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
16. He could have fallen miserably and disobeyed God's commandments in total denial
Now, the question is: Can we tell the people safely that no false prophets can come from the churches or the believers? Can we boast that we can spot any false prophets easily and immediately when they surface from the people? Of course, no. Why? It's because the Bible verses above have warned us very clearly that false prophets can deceive many of us. I cannot tell what kind of deceiving power a false prophet has but I know that if he transforms slowly from being a very genuine, humble, and godly young preacher to be a boastful, greedy, and false preacher over a long period of time, and keeps preaching that it is impossible for any godly preacher like him to fall, he could deceive me too.King Saul was one classic example when he fell from being a humble young guy (who was near to perfection even in the discerning eyes of prophet Samuel) to being a hypocritical and wicked king who believed in sorcery later.
17. he would become a 'golden calf' to those who would still live with carnal desires to exalt selves; but refuse to die to selves
False prophets would sit in the temple or churches of God and claim themselves as the fulfilled prophecies in the Bible. They may not tell you that they are God or the little gods, but they would convince you that they are the little christs (meaning - the anointed ones) or like Christ. The intention and motives are obvious - they want you to believe that they can prosper you and give you whatever you want by listening to them, to their words, and to their revolutions. In return, they would have more gold, more cars, more glamours, more charisma, more success, and more prosperity to 'decorate' their lives, their houses, their pulpits, their looks, and their 'hair', so that they can be a better object of your admiration. The more you admire them, the more they will become your object of dreams or worship too (knowingly or unknowingly). They may finally become your gods of gold, golden calves, golden geese (which will lay golden eggs), or whatever that will fulfil the carnal desires of your hearts:Exo 20:22-23 KJV And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
18. He will preach deceitfulness of riches
In another words he will preach prosperity or 'gold' in the guise of something else, like grace, faith, gospel, Jesus, or God.Mat 13:22 KJV He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
19. He will preach the old wine's prosperity but label it as his new wine's health and wealth gospel
He knows that people would love to hear the deceitfulness of riches and he would preach it, exaggerate it, and make the gospel as exciting as people like. Well, please think how much can you make it exciting when there is only one Bible verse about 'prosper' (or get rich) while the whole Bible (especially the New Testament) is full of warnings against the deceitfulness of riches. Even the word 'prosper' in that verse according to John, is not about getting rich or becoming wealthy. Please read it again: 3Jn 1:2-4 KJV Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
20. He will aspire not only to be a king or prince; he will extend his ambition to become like gods or God
He will argue, "What's wrong to have high ambition and dreams?" I will tell him, Of course, I am not against ambition and dreams. I do have ambition and dreams. We are not against people or preachers who have ambition and dreams too. He may ask, "What's wrong if we are ambitious to become kings and princes (or even gods)?" I will tell him, Yes, now you may almost understand my points. Before I answer your question, Do you know the difference between a very well paid president and an overpaid president? Do you know what's the big fuss when people argue enthusiastically about the justified amount paid to a president or a dictator? Of course, if you were a dictator, any amount would be justifiable because you would view yourself as the most important man in the world. You may think that you are the most anointed and the most charismatic leader who need big salary to sustain your exorbitant lifestyle and show people that you are really in high position and power. But do you know how many people will suffer because of your dictatorship and high ambitious living? Do you know that when you get high income to pay for your palaces, your cars, your maidservants, your swimming pools, your properties, your investments, your fame, and your promotion of self, that part of funds which have been locked up to finance your dreams and ambition would not be available for building amenities, roads, hospitals, old folks homes, orphanages, .. That's why the amount a dictator can get is still subject to all these considerations. Now, if the material entitlement of a secular dictator or king is still subject to all these considerations, who told you that you are not accountable to the church, to the people, or to anyone even if you think that you are the present day king 'David' or king 'Solomon'. When a minister become defensive and argue that he is only accountable to God and no one else, he knows jolly well that no one can question him except God; but it would just show that he is not doing what he preaches. His preaching and his thinking on 'Seek ye first the kingdom of God' and his desires for wealth cannot really match. There is definitely a difference between a contented well paid minister and a greedy minister who is ambitious for the portion of material wealth that he can get from the treasury of God. Judas Iscariot was a classic example of how God's treasury had been plundered by the 'insider' within the Lord's inner circle. Of course, God's churches are supposed to be rich and have sufficient funds to help the poor, but if the funds are hoarded by the false prophets to buy their own property, investments, and TV stations, to finally generate more income for themselves (as their own 'cash cow' for the long run), God's churches have not become rich at all.Luk 12:15-21 KJV And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
21. He thinks that he is answerable only to God
He thinks that since he is the senior leader, the anointed one, or the pioneer of his church, all the church members are answerable to him. Hence, he would think that it is ridiculous for him to be equally answerable to them who are answerable to him. He may think that he would not need to be answerable to one another because he is highly favoured by God. Many of you will argue, "How can anyone like him, who is highly anointed with God's wisdom and is answerable only to God or believe in God, be a false prophet?" I will say, If you think a bit deeper, you would know that any preacher who says that he is answerable only to God mean that he is answerable to no one ! Why ? Please think, If he thinks that he is answerable only to God, he actually thinks that he is answerable to no men ! The Pharisees thought that they were answerable only to God and believed in God too but they were worse than the false prophets; they were snakes and vipers in the eyes of the Lord.Luk 18:11-12 KJV The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
22. He thinks that it is none of our business
Some of you may argue again, "Ok, that's logical deduction on the heart and thinking of the Pharisee; but we don't believe in logics. You may have misunderstood a rich boastful preacher's best intention. He means that whatever amount he earned or collected is from his own members and followers. They gave willingly and it is none of your business. If you are the outsiders, you have no right to criticize on how he prospers and gets rich from his members' donation, tithes, offerings, sales of books and DVDs. So, stop becoming jealous of him.. People who gave to him are all willing givers without compulsion and they gave to him because of his messages which have truly prospered them.. "I will tell them, Ok, yes, I may be jealous.
- A simple calculation: Do you know how much you will get in the end if one person's average monthly income is US$3000 ? It would be a whopping US$300 x 9 million people = US$2,700 million. Imagine, If this amount is distributed to the actual number of pastors in your country which could be the most 1000 of them (presumably), each one of them would get $2.7 million per month as compared with their fellow brethren who earn only $3,000 per month. No wonder some preachers could live like kings or want to live like kings. Why can't we all see this simple statistics ? Don't you think that something is really wrong if the preachers are all paid more than the president or the king of a country? (I am now beginning to wonder if the people are too lazy to do calculations, incapable of making simple calculations, or just purely blinded by their own desperate desires to raise a religious false prophet to prosper themselves?)
- A hypocritical explanation: When we show this calculation to him and question him about his need to raise fund through pushing and promising riches to people through tithing principles, first fruit blessing, anointing oil miracles, radical grace, 'fat babies' visions, millionaires prophecies, suernatural cancellation of debts, or miraculous transfer of wealth (funds) from the unrighteous, they will say, "Oh.. we must preach all these to the people so that they will prosper. It is God's will to prosper and make everyone wealthy like Abraham .." I will tell him, So, are you saying that it is God's will for everyone to be wealthy or to be millionaires? If you said that it is your own will for everyone to be wealthy so that they can give more in their offering to you, I will respect your sincerity. But if you said that it is God's will, you are lying. Please think, If you are the king or the ruler of a country, is it your will to let everyone become a millionaire effortlessly? Of course not; otherwise your country will be full of lazy people who only want to be served and do nothing. Your country or your kingdom can never work. Do you think that God has lower IQ than our worldly rulers and cannot see the implication if He were to promise effortless riches to everybody too? Obviously God will not make you richer because: 1. you have good opinion of Him and He has good opinion of you (like the way you rub your boss' back and he rub yours), 2. you know how to flatter Him, 3. you can pray better than many others, 4. you are more religious than others, 4. you know how to plead the blood of Jesus and say the spiritual word that "you are highly favored, deeply loved, and greatly blessed.. etc". No. If God has to bless or prosper you because you do something, say something, or become something, He is no more your God; you become your own God. No doubt, many of us think that God has made us rich, blessed us, kept us in good health and good wealth .. and.. Yes it is true. But God would not want us to come to Him with such get rich attitude: Mat 6:31-34 KJV Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (32) (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. (33) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (34) Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. I guess God can still understand if you are a sinner and you would still think like the Gentiles; but if you are God's preachers and you teach people to think like the Gentiles, something is wrong - either 1. you have not read the Bible 2. you do not know the will of Christ, or 3. worst, you may not be God's preachers - you are false preachers or the Pharisees: Luk 16:13-17 KJV No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (14) And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. (15) And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
- Another simple calculation: I will ask him, If you think that it is God's will to make everyone a millionaire or to make everyone rich, please think. In a country with one million population who can earn just enough, how many can really become a millionaire? Probably none. However, a millionaire may still rise up if he could convince all the one million people in his country to give up $1 each to him or to invest $1 in his company. Yes, he will become a millionaire overnight effortlessly but everyone will become $1 poorer. Based on this scenario, is it possible to have 10 millionaires? Yes, it may still be possible but everyone will become $10 poorer. Now please think radically (as though you are God who can create the impossible), Can you have all the one million people becoming millionaires? I think even God Himself will find it difficult to think radically to make it possible. It is insane. I am just trying to show you that God's will to make everyone rich like the rich Abraham, millionaire,or billionaire is a totally insane. It cannot even be preached as a radical doctrine; it is an insane doctrine. Now if you think of the millionaires as the 'millionaire' preachers, Is it possible to have 1 or 10 'millionaire' preachers? Yes, it will be possible but 1 million people will become $10 poorer. Hence, the prosperity doctrine or the teaching that it is God's will for you to become rich or as wealthy as Abraham will prosper only the preachers - probably only 10 of them in the country - but it will not work for the whole nation.
24. He would manipulate tithes and giving of the people to promote himself
Hence, I will tell any false prophets who boasted that they had paid tithes or millions of dollars back into their own churches too, You could have behaved and practised like the Pharisees if you used some kinds of unscrupulous tactics to make it big in the news or internet, whether positively, negatively, or controversially ! Please check your motives. Do you know that the Pharisees could have used the same tactics to boast about their giving and promote themselves ?
25. he inspires fear by saying that whoever against him is against God or against the gospel
Obviously he would not know what he is talking when he says it. It would only reveal his inner desire or true nature before God that he wants to be God or like God. Please think, Will I make the similar claim if I know that my sound doctrine is from God ? No, I won't do it even if my doctrine is so fantastic that it will deliver many people from false doctrine or destruction. If I can preach very well or preach with supernatural power, it does not mean that I can speak with equality like God. By the way, I would want everyone to know that you can challenge against me, against my doctrine, or against my teaching. Just feel free to criticize and write to me about your views and disagreement (but please do it in the gentleman's way and speak sensibly). It's because i know that I am not God and I may speak or teach the wrong things. It's because we know from the Bible that even the prophets, Elijah or Elisha, would not claim to have equality with God when they prophesied. They knew that they were only the mouthpiece of God though the words, they spoke "Thus saith the Lord", might 'imply' that they were equal with God. Even Jesus who is God would not want to claim or think equality with God.
26. He thinks that he is infallible
He will argue, "Today we are not the prophets or preachers who are under the law in the Old Testament. We are under grace in the New Testament after Jesus has died. Peter could fall and deny Jesus three times because Jesus has not died yet and he was still under the law. But when we are in the New Testament or grace, It means that the Spirit of God can never leave us. Once we are God's prophets, we are God's prophets forever. Once anointed, we are anointed forever. Once saved we are saved forever. Once repented, we repented forever. Once forgiven, we are forgiven forever. Once righteous, we are righteous forever. Once sinless or without sins, we are sinless forever. Once like Christ, we are like Christ forever. Hence, isn't it clear that we are of a higher level of prophets who are almost equal like God or Christ? If God is for us, who can be against us? If God is in us, who can correct us. If God likes us, who can accuse us? If God is like us, can we still fall?"I will tell him, Yes, it is true that no one can correct you.
27. He has disobeyed the Lord by changing His words
Joh 14:22-26 KJV Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? (23) Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. (24) He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. (25) These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. (26) But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. When the Lord gave us His words from the Bible verses above, He was actually warning us against: - Those who will only 'love' without keeping His words - When Jesus said in (v23) If you love me, you will keep my words, He meant that many will only say that they love Him or believe in Him but they will not keep His words or do His words. Many false prophets will keep deceiving themselves and others that they abide in Christ by just loving and believing in Jesus only.
- Those who will not keep God's commandments - When Jesus said in (v24) that His word is from the Father, he meant that His word would include God's commandments too. So, He would want us to keep God's commandments too.
- Those who will give excuses and say that keeping His commandments are for the Jews only - When Jesus said in (25) These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you, he meant that these things or these words are still applicable to us when He will not be around. But the Holy Spirit will bring all things to our remembrance. Of course, Jesus did not speak these words to the Pharisees or the Jews; he spoke these words to His disciples and us. So, He actually knew that false prophets would surely come, go against the will of the Holy Spirit, and deceive many by saying that His sermons and teachings are no longer applicable to the believers in the end time
28. he knows men's psychologies and desires
Do you know why most people would like to worship the gods of gold or the God of gold? You don't need a rocket scientist to know that most people would like to prosper. Hence, God has already known that false prophets would use His name to combine with 'gold' or whatever that men desire to preach a better 'God' to draw men to themselves. That's why one of the very clear commandments given to us is not to use any gold, silver, images, wealth, money, diamond, prosperity, favours, grace, or whatever that men desires to associate with our worship of God. Many radical grace or prosperity preachers have argued that there is nothing wrong to preach the God of gold or the God of prosperity because God is in the gold and His gospel is the gospel of gold and prosperity. I will tell them, Of course, You can find many carnal reasons to 'create' a God that you like. I don't have time to argue with you. I will just ask you, Have you found any Bible verses which describe our God as the God of gold or the God of prosperity in the Bible? If you can't find any, then don't preach our God as the God of gold or prosperity. In fact, He commanded us not to worship Him as the God(s) of gold. The worship of gods of gold was always referred as the worship of golden idols which were capable of giving gold to the greedy and the desperate, and it was considered as a great sin (Exo 32:31, Exo 20:22-23).Mat 6:32-33 KJV (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
29. he can never preach God's commandments with conviction or good conscience
By now, we should realise why the Pharisees and false prophets are actually lawless preachers who feared, disliked, and even twisted God's commandments, especially the first commandment of God. Of course, if they were bold enough to twist the first commandment of God, they would twist other God's commandments too including the commandments to honour fathers and mothers, to observe the Sabbath, to love our neighbours ...; but instead they honoured more money, observed the do nothing attitude (Luk 10:31-32), and 'love' the wives of other people .. A lot of us may think that they loved God's laws; but actually they loved their own laws. I am sure if you tell them that 'radical grace' can give them the rights to create their own laws, they won't mind believing in 'radical grace' too. Hence, I know that the Lord and Paul had never preached radical grace to the Pharisees; otherwise, all the Pharisees and the hypocrites would have been saved and repented easily, without any fruits of repentance, and would have followed the Lord and Paul. Please think, Would the Pharisees still follow the Lord after He had spoken in Luk 16:13-14 and Mar 7:11-13 above?
30. He is a great boaster
If he is not a great boaster, he may not be a false prophet. A false prophet must know how to boast, because by doing this, he will then convince more people that he is a great prophet. Many preachers will argue, "How can we stop boasting if we need to preach a gospel that is too good to be true ? As long as we always boast in the Lord, we can never be wrong. Didn't Paul tell us to boast and he himself boasted too ? Didn't John boast and he himself boasted of how much Jesus loved him and how he could see into the future in the book of Revelation ?"I will tell them, I have written my thoughts on Paul's boasting.
31. He will attempt to open the 'latent power' of your soul
Many of you may not know, What is the latent power of the soul? Well I was hesitant to talk about this topic because it is highly theoretical. However, as false doctrines become more and more theoretical in their explanation of supernatural phenomenons in the Bible, I find that it is time we should extend our imagination to find out the correct answers too. I find that we need to understand the psychology of these false prophets too before we can tell if their teaching is full of 'psychic' power or God's power. How many of us remember an old Chinese preacher by the name of Watchman Nee? He was the original author of 'The latent power of the soul' published in January 1, 1980, about 8 years after his death in 1972. Well, many believers are now filled with radical hunger for all kinds of power, grace, or faith to do great work and prosper themselves supernaturally. However, if you have read his book, you may think twice before pursuing any kind of power to prosper yourselves. I will let him explain to you what is the latent power of the soul or the psychic power which seems to be biblical. This is what he wrote at one of the pages of his book:
"The Lord is so perfect, yet His whole life is one which depends helplessly and hopelessly on God. He comes to the world to do the Father's will in all things. We who are but a speck of dust are really nothing. We must set aside psychic force and deny whatever comes from the soul before we can work with spiritual force and bear much fruit. May God bless us."
32. he will always say, "I am not God, I am just a messenger. But people would keep misunderstand my message.. What can I do ?"
I will tell them, You asked for it and you planned for it. Of course, you can do something if you want to. Just stop preaching radical weird doctrines which promote yourselves. Please think, If you always has to remind the people that you are not God, something is wrong. Obviously something is wrong with you or your message. 32. he will always say, "I am not God, I am just a messenger. But people would keep misunderstand my message.. What can I do ?"
As I started to expand on these findings, I realised that I was not talking about the steps of a false prophet any more; I was actually talking about the heart of a false prophet. However, since the heart is closely linked to the fruits of thoughts and doings of a false prophet from one stage to another (step by step), I would still consider it relevant to explore on the steps of a false prophet.
